Has anyone ever felt that you weren't hired for a job because of your lack of hair?

I have been out of work since October with a degree in Computer Science and I have been on 15 interviews since that time for various computer-related positions but I still haven't landed a job and I can't help but think it's because I have less hair than other candidates.

Has anyone else ever felt this way?

Maybe if your learned how to articulate your qualifications, and skills you would have a job.

Its a competitive market every where for a decent job.
Those incel degrees are full of dweebs, shouldn't be a problem.

I saw a documentary once where bald men were alleging that they were being rejected for jobs due to their hair loss.

I believe it happens.

I know that unattractive people (including bald people) are discriminated against in the workplace. Sociologists report that this is happening.

https://www.psychologytoday.com/blo...od-looks-will-get-you-job-promotion-and-raise

And attractiveness isn't just a factor in whether or not you get hired - it also factors into employment decisions made about you by your superiors throughout your career AFTER you get the job.

Yes,surely for new workers, looks are damn important. But we say na,that one day you will meet someone who will accept you as you are(love life)
same can be possible in Interviews,do some specialisation courses if possible.

In India, computer engineering degree is not enough to get Job.
Put specialisation course in your CV and forget your hairloss.

I have attached a picture of myself. I don't think I look that bad bald but maybe employers are looking for someone who looks a bit younger as I'm almost 40.

I'm not clean shaven because I've been told that I have too much of a "babyface" by some women and others and that I look better with facial hair.

We'll never know, I mean H and R. is probably never going to admit discriminatory practices.

"Good looking people" get better treatment. If it happens in a family setting (and it does) then I'm sure it happens everywhere.
It's simply another link in the ball and chain of the human condition.

Try to go to Interview without beard(extremely low level cut, your beard is too much(here,we are not supposed to keep beard in any professional exams(Doctor) or interviews,no matter what.

I know what you're saying but the dilemma there is that I have a big-time babyface and I've been told that I look more mature with facial hair.
I have gone to about 8 interviews clean shaven and the rest with facial hair.

Use trimmer two three days before Interview, i know almost every men will look like baby face when clean shaven still,i tell your your beard is damaging you at interview,i once failed in college practical exam because that Internal professor strike me on this thing,no spike cut no beard, nothing,
having beard is like giving reason to the interviewer to reject you+1.
Just give it a try one time.

Without contacts it can be incredibly hard to get a job at all. Hairloss definitely won't help you but odds are you wouldn't have gotten any of the jobs even with hair.

U don't have a baby face. Just looks like it because you have a high body fat.

Beard accentuates a more potatoe like appearance. Show your chin... could help provide a more stronger appearance.

Most jobs are gotten through connections. Interviews and h/r are a complete Hitt or miss

Yeah, my head does kind of look like a potato in that pic. I will shave my beard down short again and see if I have better success.

I've been told that I am very articulate so I don't think that "selling myself" and what I have to offer to a company is the problem.

You should always attempt to go into a ape like stance and stomp your feet to show dominance when entering an interview, if the alpha male does not back down you may have show him your genitals and usually if yours is larger he should back down, but if the case arises where you find a stubborn alpha, you may have to wrestle him to the ground naked. You do lift yeah bra? Manlet.

How can you say that I "need to lose a lot of weight" when all I posted was a head shot with part of my upper body showing?

I'm a little overweight but I'm far from fat and the beard probably just makes my face look fuller.

I lift weights 2-3 times a week and I've been increasing my cardio.

I mean absolutely no offense here at all, but honestly being fat is worse than being bald in my opinion. Being bald says you have high DHT, being fat says you are lazy and have no disipline, even if it isn't true and you have a slow metabolism, stressful life etc that's what they'll think.

You need to lose a lot of weight. Again no offense. You can't cure your hairloss but you can be thin in 2-3 months.

No. All being bald says is you have high receptor for DHT binding, and affinity.

bald guys have less testosterone then their counter parts. Read this in some studies.

Plenty of non body haired skinny twinks who are balding.

Because you have a massive double chin composed of fat. No offense, unlike baldness you can cure that

Below is a pic of me with just a light beard. I'd hardly call what I have a "massive double chin" and my biggest problem is that I have too much of a babyface.
Even when I weighed 15-20 lbs less I had the same face structure so my weight isn't the problem.
Right now I'm 5'8" 185 lbs.
