A NW3 in your 20's is not going to stand in your way to get the prom queen as long as you don't let it.

That is probably true with anything, any physical imperfection, but in the end different people react to their imperfections differently. I dont have BDD over my hair, but with my teeth I do, lost many fantastic sexual chances due to it. Fortunantly I got raped by a horny girl, so lost my virginity.

Saying that, I think hair does play apart in overall attraction, some people just cant rock a NW5. I know I probably wouldn't be able too, unless of course I found a great way to style it.

If you have the confidence and she has a few drinks, you will "get her" one way or another. I guess times are different now because I never heard any girls complain about dating a balding guy when I was in my 20's. Most of the time it was all about the muscles. Most girls wanted a guy with a great physique and a big penis. They really never cared about the amount of hair on their heads.

Muscle, big penis size can look attractive. Hair can do the same thing, and since we now live in a metrosexual society it is a bigger deal then ever before. But you are right its not the end all, I know guys with less hair then me, but physically fit, banging the girls I have at one stage pursued.

Oknow, did you know that "heartthrob" Zac Efron had horrible teeth as a kid and got them fixed and it never stood in the way of his success. I think its kind of ironic how a SHORT wimpy looking kid with a history of bad teeth and not so masculine looks became a very rich popular celebrity that all the girls go crazy for. Its must be his hair and his eyes. I guess once he starts balding he will lose his popularity. He just proves that even with his shortness and bad teeth he never let it stand in the way to become successful with the young ladies.

Yeah absolutely, it's not the end all, I have still attracted girls despite it. Though on the subject of bad teeth for clarity sake, the issue is not really the teeth, in my case its my actual bite, I need both my top and bottom jaw resetted. (The top has just been done). Physically, this can affect your aestatic appearance as the jawline is not aligned properly due to a bad bite - in my case to the naked eye my jawline is quite weak and my face is quite longated as my teeth do not touch. Furthermore when I converse in real life my voice sounds quite blocked up, which is definently due to the bite interferring with my nose. Socialising can be a nightmare as a result as it can cause problems with myself being eloquent due to bad pronounciation.
So obviously BDD arises with this because I know that I can look so much better after its all done and given that I am able to attract girls right now it kills me. Now, I can imagine that this is the same type of BDD severe hairloss sufferers suffer as well; they have an "ideal picture" in their head of how they would look like with hair, but in reality it is not that ideal...they get depressed as a result. Hairloss can change the way you look, I remember one time where my hair was shaved drunkenly, looked SO different...was terrible. Really couldn't wait till he grew back.

You are right for the most part people wont notice ANY of this, in my case this is true. But the difference is what people may percieve as normal, does not neccessary equate to "attractive". Subtle changes here and there can increase/decrease physical attraction, may it be my jaw, or in a NW5 case (who cannot rock the bald head, his hair). Saying that again you are right, having imperfections is not a big deal, as I said earlier I can still attract women despite it and ironically I got laid with less hair on my head then when I was 19; I just fucked up many chances previously because of my hang ups over my own BDD. Which is what guys like IBM are going through - he can get laid, he has hairloss but it isn't bad (wear Bangs IBM)... so I have no REASON to believe why he cannot.

As for Zac Efron, I don't know if Zac Efron had this, or if he just needed his teeth to be straightened. The latter is not as bad is your face shape is not affected by it only the teeth.

Shortness - again seriously I dont know why guys make a biggie over it, I know so many attractive short guys who get laid. So what if you are shorter then another guy, who cares? Being tall myself, yeah ok there have been cases where girls have complimented me for my height, and even then its not common, certainly not a dealbreaker.

Edit:

Just found the pic, yeah as I thought. His face is essentially the same, just that there is a gap between his teeth. No biggies - what I have is this:

After:

Big difference in her after shot even if the changes are subtle.

I think you are underestimating, mostly everyone on here has some form of BDD. Maybe Cassin and s.a.f. are a few of the exceptions.

Have to agreed with house. My guess is late onset loss might not benefit from treatment the way it could in the 20s 30s. I’m 44, shed started at 41 and everything I’ve throw at it has only made things worse.

You see now. I told you the same thing happened to me. @Descending Dog is reading all my old posts and bring them back to life by responding to them. @Oknow remember these glorious days of posting. I can't believe how much stuff I posted. I had diarrhea of the mouth on here. I am glad I only post only when someone tags me as I don't like to ignore people. I find it very ironic as I just recently went back to 1/2 mg of finasteride again. Now I know the last time I used that dosage was back in 2009. It's been 12 years that I cut the dosage. So far, I don't see any benefit doing it.
