Have my hairline receeded on the course of 3 years enough for me to worry? (19 years old)

So here are 2 photos of me, one with long hair when I was 16 and another with a buzz cut of me now (19), I noticed that even then I had a widows peak but my question is, did my hairline receeded that much for me to worry?
My family has great hair genes from both sides, no one past norwood 2, my paternal grandpa is still a norwood 1, Maternal grandpa died and I never met him so idk but my uncles from my mother's side are norwood 2, but it does seem like I inherited my father's hairline as our temples are very similiar.

P.S, ignore my forehead squint, idk why I did that lol.

I don't see anything more than a widow's peak and an early forming mature hairline here.

At 19 I'd be concerned. That left side has receded past mature hairline territory, also the quality of hair on top looksike early diffuse hairloss... Sorry but consider treatments if you want it to stabilize.

You're answering my question, my question is have it receeded enough in the course of 3 years for me to worry, I just had a widows peak ever since I was young.

Your hair doesn't look like it has changed from 16-19 and the density looks solid, very solid. Based on the photographs provided, I see absolutely no signs of diffuse thinning, as suggested above. Coupled with the fact there is no sign of balding in your family, it is unlikely you will bald young (however balding can always skip a generation, but the odds are in your favour).

Also, I disagree that your hair has receded past more than 'mature territory' . Your hairline is actually still very low, look where it sits on your forehead, the illusion of recession is largely caused by your widows peak. Go research this properly via hair transplant specialist sites, see Jeff Donovan Hair Clinic or William Rassman Balding Blog to name a few, they will enable you to correctly distinguish between a normal hairline and a balding thinning hairline.

If you're still concerned, see a Dermatologist. They will recommend treatment if there is genuinely a need for this to prevent future loss. Other than that, monitor your hair for changes.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try and meet up with a Dermatologist.

I personally see you do nothing more than scare people like Gregor59 into thinking they have a serious case of hair loss. This guys hasn't even lost his juvenile hairline completely yet.

Agreed - it becomes apparent very quickly too. Grown adults trying to scare teenagers, SMH.

I personally dislike what it can do to people who already have mental issues. Gregor obviously has issues, as he is shedding eyebrows and body hair too, yet what some people did is throw the "retrograde alopecia and heading to norwood 6" diagnosis when the kid has a full head of hair. Now the dude is roaming every hair loss forum panicking and scaring people into thinking they are balding. It's a vicious cycle.

he's being honest. He's not trying to scare anyone he's just giving his opinion. You two are both new members. Ive seen you specifically (ourkes) tell people who show clear signs of balding that theyre not and giving them bad advice. And heatvision saying that its perfectly normal for someone to recede to a norwood 2 at age 13. Its clear who the most sane and clear minded person is and its not you two.

He's being honest? You're telling me people are supposed to die with Paul George hairlines? You can clearly tell this dude's always a pointed hairline too. You're subscribed to the idea of broscience and saying things like "early recession means aggression" when there's no direct correlation to that. There's a few guys I can show you that you'd called Norwood 2/3 who say they've receded that way since 17-19 and stayed that way. It's never the same for anyone. Stop rubbing that incel sh*t all over us and telling people they're supposed to have straight hairlines til they're 21. You called a kid who had hair loss since 11 and called his case male pattern baldness just because most his loss is on top. Is that sane analysis?

And you're supposed to know more since you've stayed here longer? Guys like Rassman and Mohebi see hairlines worse than this kid here and they wouldn't bat an eye, and they're doctors. I really cannot see how you see yourself as a reasonable voice acting this way.

I didnt say that reddit guy had male pattern baldness. I was saying maybe its a future indication of what his real hairloss pattern might be like. And yes lots of people do die with normal square hairlines. Its not uncommon. You act like 5% of men only have square hairlines when its not true. And it's not broscience to think that a receding hairline in a god damn 12 year old indicates future agression.

I didnt say i kniw more, its just annoying when two new members come in telling everybody to get off finasteride and that theyre not balding. Rassman is an idiot and ive seen him say the most idiotic things on reddit. Dont know who the other guy is.

Mature hairlines can set in as soon as puberty hits full gear. You're now saying 12 when the discussion started at 14 years old, which is when puberty starts taking over. No, you said, that that kid "maybe had male pattern baldness since his hair loss was mostly on top." And square hairlines don't even imply the absence of recession. Guys can have hairlines that fall back evenly. Brad Pitt, Keanu, they've receded at least half an inch but maintained the shape of their overall hairlines. Even Zayn's hairline has grown ever so slightly.

zayn's hairline has remained intact for the most part, he only lost the baby hairs in the corners. Thats totally normal. It happened slowly to him too. Brad pitt's recession is less than most the kids you tell have maturing hairlines. Keanu reeves receded/matured very slowly. And i only said 'square hairlines' since you mentioned paul george. What i really meant was little to no recession.

I didn't tell anyone to stop taking finasteride, first of all. I've only said that mature hairlines can exist and are not always indicative of severity. This you even agree with me on. Maybe Ourkes did tell someone to stop taking finasteride. But not me. I told Bluecyclone to stop ALL his medication including his thyroid meds and consult his doctor since he was showing unhealthy levels of hair loss that can make any diagnosis murky. Some people were diagnosing him with DUPA when in fact, DUPA is highly rare and can only be spotted with specific tools. It was unhealthy for him to consult US and not doctors.

This coming from someone who says a norwood 3 can be a maturing hairline. Age is not a marker of progression. Speed of loss is progression. A guy like Luka Doncic is someone you might find highly suspicious when talking about mature hairlines, went from NW0 to 2 in one year. And he's way worse than the kids you see on here.

yes sorry i got both you and ourkes mixed up when i said that. Mature hairlines do exist, i never said otherwise. But i think how fast and how early it happens shows if its balding or just maturing sometimes. Zayn kept his very rounded hairline till he was about 19 or 20. Brad pitt kept his almost till his thirties before he receded slightly.
