Have my hairline receeded on the course of 3 years enough for me to worry? (19 years old)

zayn's hairline has remained intact for the most part, he only lost the baby hairs in the corners. Thats totally normal. It happened slowly to him too. Brad pitt's recession is less than most the kids you tell have maturing hairlines. Keanu reeves receded/matured very slowly. And i only said 'square hairlines' since you mentioned paul george. What i really meant was little to no recession.
I'd like to preface that I do not dislike you or your opinion. But I think we should be asking people more questions when talking about male pattern baldness. It's not as cookie cutter as we think.

yes sorry i got both you and ourkes mixed up when i said that. Mature hairlines do exist, i never said otherwise. But i think how fast and how early it happens shows if its balding or just maturing sometimes. Zayn kept his very rounded hairline till he was about 19 or 20. Brad pitt kept his almost till his thirties before he receded slightly.
Sometimes head shapes can affect how bad it looks too. You might call a guy like Taron Egerton balding but I certainly don't think he is. Some dudes on here and reddit want to go on finasteride because they have massive foreheads, and finasteride isn't gonna help with that.

taron egerton is a high norwood though, he has a lot of hairloss whether you want to call it a mature hairline or not.

A 2 at most. Thick wall of hair otherwise. Progressive male pattern baldness almost always has some level of frontal thinning.

he's being honest. He's not trying to scare anyone he's just giving his opinion. You two are both new members. Ive seen you specifically (ourkes) tell people who show clear signs of balding that theyre not and giving them bad advice. And heatvision saying that its perfectly normal for someone to recede to a norwood 2 at age 13. Its clear who the most sane and clear minded person is and its not you two.
@Ritchie
Bad advice? WTF are you talking about? I specifically became a member of this forum to try and offer a balanced view to a significant number of young people who appear to be suffering more from BDD than any hair loss. Have a look back at my posts and I think you'll find I stay away from providing advice to those who are clearly balding in a pattern congruent with AA. And where did I specifically tell someone to quit Finasteride? For the record, I have no issue with anyone taking it, but the standard 'get on the big 3 bro!' response to young people on this forum who are displaying scalp because of a) the lighting b) a natural change in hair direction c) contrast between light skin / dark hair d) a combination of all of these and other factors, is something I don't agree with. Most of them are panicked and need some normal perspective.

You want to 'point the finger' how about you go have a chat with the guy you proclaim is 'telling the truth', a guy who last week edited his post after aiming a despicable message at a guy clearly suffering from mental health issues and despression.

Or go have an argument with the clown troll who spat obscenities at me including 'go kill yourself' because I tried to defend Baldcafe for taking a positive approach to balding and pointed out that I know lots of bald men who are living a great successful life.

Nah he's not a troll. He also frequents reddit to pester people as well. I know who you are referring to. He's clearly distraught about his predicament.

I didnt say sseoud was 100% telling the truth, i said he was giving his honest opinion and wasnt trying to scare anyone.

I have no idea what youre talking about. I didnt bother to read the argument youre referring to.

Taron_Egerton_by_Gage_Skidmore_2.jpg

He has significant loss in 2020 he used to be classic NW2/3 now he is NW3/4. Probably thinned out also significantly.

3 would imply the recession is level at his ears, 4 would imply crown thinning. This is around 2A.
taron egerton is textbook norwood 3, not 2. Not everyone recedes in the exact same pattern as the norwood scale. The norwood scale is extremely flawed. I (and other norwood spotters) can draw a better and more realistic chart on a whiteboard within two minutes. The norwood chart should be actual pictures of men and not a dumb drawing.

Ok mate. No worries, perhaps we are misinterpreting one another. You seem like a good guy, so let's move on.
