I'm from China.I've been taking finasteride for 6 months. The fourth month began to add Dutasteride. Now he's been Dutasteride for two months. Still didn't stop hair loss. 50-80 per day

But I noticed that 80% of the hair loss in recent months are unhealthy hair. Thin, soft and short. I don't know whether this is a sign of recovery or further atrophy of hair follicles.

I should be in nw2-2.5 now. I don't want to use minoxidil.

I have seborrheic dermatitis. I have been using 2% ketoconazole twice a week. I use Alpecin at other times. My dermatitis is a little better, and my dandruff, peculiar smell and itching are relieved. But occasionally there will be itching and peculiar smell. The scalp is still greasy I wash my hair once every two days.

My question:

1. Where can I observe finasteride if it works for me? I don't know if it works for me. I'm depressed that I haven't stopped hair loss for 6 months.

2. 80% of my lost hair is unhealthy. Is this a good omen or further atrophy? How do I judge?

3. Do you have a good treatment for seborrheic dermatitis? Or how to relieve headoil?

Thank you. I hope to get your help

但我已经服用非那雄胺七个月了。度他雄胺使用了2个月。我没有注意到我的头发变了多少。
Shedding can last for months. You are asian I think I read that asians do very well on finasteride and dutasteride.

Also, I'm trying to learn Japanese right now and thinking of adding mandarin to my studies. Any tips?

I didn't use minoxidil. I haven't seen much hair growth after using finasteride for 7 months. A little depressed. I'm afraid finasteride doesn't work for me.

If you want to learn Mandarin, I suggest you study it systematically. Of course, if you have any questions about Mandarin, you can ask me. We can leave contact information for communication. I don't know what chat software you use. WeChat?

I'm trying to learn kanji systematically learning radicals. I use an app called kanji study. The app shows all the components and roots for each kanji. I'm getting the hang of it. I think a big challenge would be compound kanji as I'm focusing on individual kanji blocks now. I try to make custom sets that group kanji by like a common theme ad they all tend to share a similar radical. Like most of the weather related ones contain 雨. So I practice those in a group and learn what the other components are. As for apps I don't use anything for chat. I use like messenger and reddit chats.

I use duolingo to learn sentence structure and some other vocabulary.

Chinese I have not tried yet but if they overlap with Japanese kanji then I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to try.

As for finasteride / dutasteride, ice been on it for 3.5 months and no real growth either. But I was told it can take a year or two to see results. I'm just going to sit back and wait. I did hear though that dutasteride has a serious shed, but like 99.9% of asians who use it maintain their hair so I think the odds are heavily in your favor. I'm white, the odds are not nearly as good as about 85% of us maintain hair on finasteride.

You could consider adding rogaine once a day. Rogaine is a growth stimulator and with finasteride it can be pretty effective. But it is a pain to manage.

Yes
When you start learning some simple Chinese characters and then learn complex Chinese characters, you will find it very interesting. Because many radical groups of Chinese characters are related to daily life, which is also handed down from ancient China.
If you have difficulties in learning Chinese, you can ask me. I will try my best to help you where I can help.

You just said that Japanese is a bit like Chinese. Yes, because most of the East Asian countries were influenced by ancient China, and their languages used to be related to Chinese. Like Japanese, there are many Chinese characters. But South Korea is different. They have been invaded by other countries before, and there are no Chinese characters in their language now.

If you are interested in understanding the history of East Asian culture and characters in the future, you will find it very interesting.

I don't want to use Rogaine because it's troublesome. At least there is no plan to add Rogaine at present. Seborrheic dermatitis is difficult to treat. I want to add isotretinoin, but I'm worried about the side effects of hair loss.

wholesome thread :)

also, OP, related to your question:
we're in the same boat.
This is where I made a comparison between my 8 month update (month 7 was a bit better than 8 in regards of density in my case) and my 10 month update:
10 month Hairline update - is it making a comeback? | HairLossTalk Forums
I feel like in these 2 months, my hairline has thickened a lot (if you could check it out and give me some feedback I'd appreciate it and you'd also see that things can change very fast, and they are definitely not stationary after the 6th month like we usually hear).
And I've heard stories about people not getting many results in their first 10 months, then at month 11 they got a sudden boost in density. So my advice is to just continue!

I started taking finasteride 1mg (daily) for 2 days 2 months ago, and then dutastride on the third day. Repeat this. Before again, I took 1mg finasteride every day

By the way, has your head oil decreased. How to reduce. I want to take isotretinoin for simple oil control. But I'm afraid of the side effects of hair loss

I don't shed a lot, because I only have issues with my temples which don't have as much hair since it's a small area
Usually I find a few hairs on my pillow, but when I shower I indeed shed a lot, sometimes even 30 hairs at a time. It's normal to shed 100 hairs a day tho so chill

I have fine hair so I've always had an oily head of hair. I use ketoconazole but that's mostly for the weak anti androgenic effect, it seems to allow me to go 1 more day without a hair rinse (I can usually last a day at most), before my hair becomes an oily mess

I can keep it non greasy for 2 days. But I think greasy will cause inflammation and hinder hair growth. So I took finasteride for so long and didn't see the effect. I want to solve greasiness and inflammation. But I saw a lot of dermatologists. Dermatitis has not been cured.

My hair falls off about 60 every day

I mainly want to restore the hair on my forehead.

The shedding of unhealthy hair means it working.
If that's true I shouldn't worry that the shedding started the last week of Dec2020 is still increasing. . Started Finasteride on 1/5/21 both topically and 1mg orally. Also, dermarol at times but every time caused the biggest loss. A month ago I started topical Dutasteride which is stronger than Finasteride but use them both. I also have been using home laser treatments. Many days I can see a jump showing more forehead and a line around it never exposed to the sun. If this shedding is good then I wonder where the follicles went? It's been 9 months and I have more of a receding hair than a week ago. I have a full head of hair with the usual spot in the back that is now covered thanks to 15% minoxidil but nothing good is happening for the hairline. This came out of nowhere and visited two Dermatologists who did nothing
