I have always had a high forehead. I can’t tell if I’m just letting myself get crazy and maybe it’s just a mature hairline. Haven’t noticed much because my hair is kept long in the front.
Is there a way to stop it?Hi
it does look as though there is some recession .
I’m 21 and have had this same hairline for 2 years. I don’t know, it could be just a mature hairline? What age are you ?
Assuming you’re 21 or over , theres min that you could rub on it twice a day however people on here will tell you the best way would be finasteride. Research both products and see what you think and maybe talk with your local dr.
Any doctor? Or should I go to a hairloss specialist doctorCould be , speak with your dr who may be a me fo give a more accurate view ?
The side effects in my opinion seem to outweigh the positives. Are all of those issues worth it? Don’t knowIt's receding, get finasteride.
Then let your temples recedeThe side effects in my opinion seem to outweigh the positives. Are all of those issues worth it? Don’t know
The only way to stop it is to use drugs, unfortunately. For example finasteride, dutasteride, RU58841. Minoxidil will only buy you a few years, it doesn't stop the process of balding. Is there a way to stop it?
Some people don't experience side effects by taking drugs and mess with their hormones, some people do, everyone's different. So for someone it's worth it, for someone it isn't. It really depends on how many sides you experience and how strong they are. For example, my body doesn't tolerate decreasing and messing with hormones, I already tried finasteride and ended up with full face of acne, as I said everyone's different. The side effects in my opinion seem to outweigh the positives. Thank you. I guess what’s scaring me off is the horror stories of people that used it once and have permanent sexual side effects. Some people don't experience side effects by taking drugs and mess with their hormones, some people do, everyone's different. Does it look like I need to? Am I balding bad?Finasteride can actually halt your balding and if lucky regrow temples. Hop on it if you’re scared of sides just microdose.
There’s recession and there no telling how bad it will get or stop there. If you want peace of mind hop on finasteride but low dose to prevent sides.Does it look like I need to? Am I balding bad?
Thanks! The doctor will prescribe that? I would definitely like to take low dosage to avoid those side effectsThere’s recession and there no telling how bad it will get or stop there. If you want peace of mind hop on finasteride but low dose to prevent sides.
Also runs the risk of post-finasteride syndrome which, from what I read, is terrifying. There’s recession and there no telling how bad it will get or stop there. If you want peace of mind hop on finasteride but low dose to prevent sides.
Thank you that makes me feel a lot better. Got very nervous when everyone said receding, but I’ve had this hairline since senior year of high school (maybe it is ever so slightly back further from maturing). I guess it is best to get assessed by a doctor! Thanks againAbsolutely no one can diagnose Androgenetic Alopecia in its early stage from pictures on the internet, especially pictures from a single point in time.
For all we know you could be born with this hairline, you may just have receded a tad and you will live to your 90s with this hairline, you may already experience diffuse thinning all over.
Some people here will tell "lol this shape look like mine" "this is definitely recession i've graduated from the HairlossTalk school of dermatology", i don't care no one can see miniaturization from 2d pics from afar in uncontrolled lightning.
Compare carefully pictures from before and go see a good derm that'll at least examine you with a dermoscope, it's the most reliable way to understand what to expect.
