Hey guys,

Been on 1.25 mg Proscar every other day for 3 months now and I feel like hair is worse than ever. I also use Lipogaine Big 3 shampoo and Alpecin every other day as well. I'm 23 and is there a good chance that I regrow my crown and a bit of the hairline? My right hairline is way worse than the left one and since starting finasteride its gotten much worse (no sides though).

How bad is my situation? Help would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks The last photo is how I normally wear my hair without pulling it back. Sorry for the kinda bad photo quality, these were taken just now on my cell.

Keep your head cool and continue treatment. Gains are incoming. Remember finasteride van only halter, not accelerate!

Give it a year or two. I think the crown is more likely to improve. Good amount of hair there overall.

Thank you so much for the responses guys. Just a couple of questions:

- is it visible that I'm balding/receding to the average person?

- is 1.25mg finasteride every other day okay? I don't have sides but I have read that every other day is fine but since I'm 23 and already on finasteride, maybe my hairloss is aggressive. Should I wait a year then bump up to see if every other day worked or just bump now?

- should I add minoxidil? Or again wait till I know finasteride works or not after a year or two

- What is my norwood level?

Why don't you just take 1.25 Every day if you have no sides?

I'd postpone minoxidil because it's a hassle and if you have succes with finasteride I don't see minoxidil being worth the time,so I'd say just wait and in the case finasteride failes to reach your expectation start minoxidil.

Early stage NW2 maybe. But looks like you haven't even completely lost your temple points yet. Definitely very mild hairloss. If you can maintain or regrow you'll be in GREAT shape. I'd bump up your finasteride intake to once daily though. Why risk not getting optimal results?

Thanks so much for the help guys. Yea the thing about the finasteride was that I just thought I cold minimize sides but yea most definitely I should start everyday. Hoping hard that the hairline gets a big better
