Also, take into account that RepliCel is now going into Phase 2 trials and has huge financial backing by a third party and already geographical licensing. Thats the big difference. None of the previous approaches had come this far.

False.

Aderans got further. They completed Phase II trials and we're ready to roll out Phase III trials and COULD have been finished with them by next month (projected date was January 2015).

During Phase II trials they found that the process was not suitable for multiplication but instead it revitalized the follicles and successfully prevented future loss. The trials continued in 2012. Aderans decided to discontinue the funding of its hair multiplication research in July 2013.

I thought they were going to continue with outside funding? Why would nobody put money in this, it was not a failure, I would have been happy with it. Better then minoxidil and all the other stuff. This is torture, keeping your hopes up and then this happens. What if replicel and histogen do the same, I'm starting to lose hope.

What happened? I was out of the loop for a long time.

The corporate bastards at the top decided to pull funding for Aderans. Same guys that are still selling wigs.

Question is: why did they pull the funding?

Because they would lose a ton of money with their wig sales. Is the world really that messed up! Those guys should all lose their hair, that's messed up.

It doesn't make much sense... I'd love to find out WHO was investing in Aderans... names of individuals would be nice.

You need to look at this objectively. Why would someone invest a bunch of money and bring a development to phase 2 trials (knowing all along the aim of it) only to pull funding at the last minute before they can get any return on their investment. That doesn't make any sense. The only thing that does is that the return they were initially after wasn't there.

Sadly, there are members here who are paranoid enough to think that this is just part of a global conspiracy involving scientists and big pharmaceuticals to hide a real 'cure'---so they can continue to sell pills as they do now.

Do you dispute that corporations have taken similar routes in the past? It's no secret large corporations have bought patents to avoid how it could affect their current state. I understand there are instances where a conspiracy theory can be over blown, but it isn't like Hell's thinking regarding this particular issue is way out there...

This thread started in 2006. It was revived in 2014.

I am going to stop searching for all of this now. It is getting seriously depressing. It is so sad to see my fellow travelers in this awful journey planning their lives around a cure in 2008-2010 and "AT MOST" by 2015. I wonder where are all of these dudes today. I wonder what they think about today's stories and are they still hopeful?
It was revived again in 2018 by YOU, don't forget that. True to your name, I suppose.

Dude if you want to bump old journal articles and theories that's fine, but this is just ridiculous, the hairloss industry is completely different from what it was 4, more or less 13 years ago.

May I know how different it is now compared to the past ? We are dying everyday, see news, promises, slipping away...

Jesus Christ, I don't know you guys but everytime this kind of threads is revived I feel like in a Tim Burton movie, walking through a cemetery where the trapped ghosts of people who died long ago ask me to free them, some ghosts are there crying for eternity, others just ask me to break their curse so that they finally go to heaven ... l I don't know if you get my analogy, I f*****g hope I will make it to the heaven

My biggest fear is not being NW7+ but being another ghost, will next generation make fun of us in 2030?
