damn, man, i was nw2 and could fraud temples to make decent looking hairy style, but now after it progressed to nw2.5-3 im basically fucked and all haircuts/styles look ugly as sh*t, can u show what u r rocking?

I saw a guy on the tube yesterday who had buzzed sides, a 1-2, and then a buzzed head, maybe a three for four. Clearly diffuse but still nw3 stage. He had enough coverage to pull it off. He actually looked pretty good. I saw another guy yesterday in a suit who looked like he had SMP done. Why else would a corporate guy get a shaved head if he had a full head of hair?

Plently of good examples. I'm convinced a shorter haircut, ie buzzed is the best solution for nw2-3's. Even shaving or SMP. Shorter trumps longer hair when it comes to MPW. There is no doubt in my mind.

A buzzed head nw3 with a bit of style perhaps (ie wax or something) will always look better then growing out a wilting plant nw3.

yea, man, point is i am ugly and have terribly shaped head, so buzzin is a death sentence for me, not an option

Having hair is more than the way I look with it. It is the freedom of not having to worry about it that matters more to me. Not caring about the wind, the rain, the sun, the light, the wrong styling product, a girl rubbing her hands through it... Those are the things I care more about than what I see in the mirror which is exactly why I would rather shave than go the wig route.
