Maybe Cavill could play Lex Luther instead lol.
He's probably the only one Hollywood A-lister who's balding (or maybe who didn't run for cover, fixing it by a hair transplant), anyway i'm sure he's already on finasteride and minoxidil, or he'd be statham already.
Guys RDJ stinks to me...
Your off your rocker. Robert Downey jr hasn't done **** to his hair. You can actually see it starting to thin in front but he's in his 50s. He's just got goo genetics. He also got sober at a good time and works out alot. I think alot of guys overall image is making you think they had work done when they are just taking car of themselves.
I wasn't talking about Cavill, sorry probably should have quoted my post but it is from the guy who posted up his blurry pic of one temple not from a great angle.
He would probably be considered an NW2/3 class patient. He's at a stage where his hairline is obviously becoming less aesthetically appealing, but it doesn't yet register as male pattern baldness to the average man/woman.
Cavill is more than an NW2.
The producer of the film, Charles Rovan, is beginning to go bald himself so maybe he wants to promote the fact that hair loss sufferers can be superheroes too.
Speaking of superheroes, is Ryan Reynolds receeding because I've looked at some pictures when he was younger his hairline is almost identical, but whenever I look at his hair I see a NW2. I'm guessing he has a natural nw2 hairline which isn't uncommon. One guy I think is really ****ed and that's Chris Evans, hes got the winning combo of recession and thinning.
He doesn't look like he has a receding hairline, anybody who doesn't use this forum would agree. And even if it is receding it'll happen slowly, people don't lose all their hair in a year or two years. Takes like a decade, the only guys I know of with such aggressive balding have been members on this forum, its not a common occurrence at allSo I've been wondering this for a while because I think it's kind of a big issue for the bald(ing) community. After watching the new Batman v Superman trailers I have noticed just a minor thing.... Henry Cavill's receding hairline!
Why is this a big deal? Well, the guy is probably considered a sex symbol by many and if Man Of Steel put the actor in the spotlight this new movie will double that. So what we have is a recognizable actor playing no one else but Superman himself, and now he's balding. See where I am going here?
Now, the actor's recession is going FAST. If you noticed from his last films his thinning is really catching up to him. It probably doesn't help the guy doing all those intensive workouts and such. I mean, look at him in his youthful days...

He pretty much had a perfect hairline. But now the tables are turned, our superhero is going bald.

At this point, anyone can detect his receded hairline. But now I wonder how is the studio going to handle this? There's not even a version in the comic books where Superman is bald. It's just something we've never seen before.
I beg your pardon there IS a brief moment where Superman is bald. There's an issue where Lex Luthor manages to burn the hero and his hair burns too.

But Sups recovers from this very quickly and he recovers his powers, as well as his hair. They even had to put Louise Lane making condescending remarks to Sups and even recommends him to wear a Fedora!

With this in mind, I doubt we'll ever have a ****ing break and get a bald version of Superman. Being bald is so BAD to the general public, that they can change ethnicity and sex to our favorite characters yet dare to make them bald... and bam! You'll get Loki's treatment from Avengers and get a retouch of the hairline.
Loki's receding hairline in Avengers...

Is insulting and humiliating to see how going bald is looked as such a bad thing. Like it will ruin a character or a performance... So far, Cavill's hair "issue" seems to be mute. Nothing has happened, but we all see how these things turn out and I am curious as to what Zack Snyder who is moving the franchise will handle Sups going bald.
End rant.
Henry Cavill was at the NBA All Star game a few days ago. Took some screenshots of him. His hairline is definitely receding and he's trying to hide it with loose hairs:
What sucks is that... I actually like the guy. He's the best superman we've ever had. I really like him in Man From Uncle. Dude really needs to talk to Histogen/Replicel and save his career. Once his hair is gone, so will be his career.
I wonder if he is on finasteride, since it defintly has gotten worse. Maybe the steroids are too much for finasteride to handle. If he could maintain what he has Im pretty sure that a transplant could fix that up nicely

It's funny to see this thread here. As soon as I saw the recent trailers my first thought was "Holy crap, Superman is balding rapidly", and yet nobody else seems to notice. I think this thread kind of proves that until balding gets to a certain point, the rest of the world doesn't even acknowledge it (at least consciously), and that only others balding will.
Its not that big of a deal really for a rich famous guy. Honestly most people wont notice or care they already know who he is. Toss a wig or whatever on and get the right look for the role and move on. Comparing rich famous people to average joes isnt really a fair comparison. Maybe he doesnt care at all, but other people might care a lot more.
I hope he gets a FUE. Looks to have good donor characteristics, and would respond well to medication.
