Social stigma overall is brutal with a rug. People will laugh about you.

Pain in the *** too.

Get that hair transplant going.

What are your opinions on Platelett Rich Plasma therapy?

I'm using finasteride and Minoxidil, and will continue to. But PRP is cheap where
I live.

In fact, it's only 500.00 (US dollars) for one session. It's a little higher with
A-Cell. I'm really considering it. That's cheap for me.

Thanks, transplant is a better route for sure. I'm just not sure if I can deal with the long recovery period. I wear a suit every day and can't hide behind a hat or whatever. Plus, I miss having pre-male pattern baldness density, but I guess we are fucked in that regard.

My understanding is that PRP doesn't yield consistently positive results, and is not proven to regrow or maintain hair. My take is that it's like laser therapy, meaning that it is probably a waste of time. I'm basing this off of stuff I read on Dr. Rassman's blog a few years ago, as well as a few posts I recall reading on another balding forum.

rclark, I did PRP twice with Dr Greco, who is supposedly the original guy who started PRP treatments for hair, and I can tell you it was nothing special. At the most, it might thicken up your existing hairs or help you maintain. You could achieve the same thing with minoxidil. If you don't want any sides like minoxidil, then it might be worth doing but you need to do it every 6 months. Who charges $500? That is a good price.

Holy sh*t! That's who I was going to go to. Dr. Greco.

Dr. Gregory Pistone does it for 500.00. However, it's more expensive to use A-Cell therapy.
He will do A-Cell therapy for a higher cost. He impressed me more than Dr. Rapaport, who
claimed to be a PRP specialist.

What surprised me was Dr. Jeffrey Rapaport, who claims to be an expert (shows clients who had PRP), does NOT do A-Cell. That really shocked me, and I changed my mind.

Dr. Jeffrey Rapaport (North Jersey area) will do it for 400.00.

Dr Greco does not use A-cell either. He has his own formula. He has a new formula that is more expensive but it may work better. I was tempted to go to him again as he is about 2 hours away. However, I would like to see better results from someone on here before I go again. I think it is about a grand to have his new procedure. You should try it with Greco. It might help.

I might. Dr. Pristone will use A-Cell though. Dr. Greco is extremely hard to book an appointment with (my experience).

I actually live quite close to both of them. In fact, Dr. Pristone is only a couple of miles from my house (his office).
