How long after starting it did you notice a reduction in hair loss?
Is ur DHT level 187 ng/dl ???Do you guys think that if somebody responded well to finasteride they would also respond well to dutasteride. I had a terrible Telogen Effluvium from minoxidil and am thinking about switching to duta. I lose about 50 hairs a day on finasteride these days and am getting thin really fast. However my dht is only at 187 for a 24 year old but I have high testosterone. Maybe that’s why Op is losing hair still because duta doubled his T?

If dutasteride hasn't slowed your hair loss then either you're just experiencing a shed before stronger hair replace them or you have hair follicles that are susceptible to other androgens besides dht. Dutasteride kills over 90% of dht so unless you have a bad batch of dutasteride or you are somehow (very unlikely) immune to dutasteride then the only other possible explanation is that your hair follicles are being attacked by other androgens or you're experiencing a temporary shed.
How long have you been on the duta?Dutasteride has most certainly slowed down my hair loss to the point where I can at this point say that I'm maintaining. I just wish I got a slight regrowth so I don't need to use Toppik.
Dutasteride can significantly slow down the hair loss but over the year you will continue to thin in a pattern which you have inherited.
That's not true if you take HRT.That's not something specific to dutasteride. Eventually your genetics will catch up, no matter what you do to stop your hair loss.
