I had a nightmare once, about a bald, half-deformed decaying living corpse with pale skin and crooked teeth. Then I woke up and realized the nightmare was me.

Sounds like a twist in some physiological thriller or something

Dude spends his days terrified of some dreadful creature, then in a stunning revelation realizes he is the creature

I dreamt i had a full head of hair last night, but in the dream i didn't even care about that. The most amazing part of the dream was walking around and not caring about my hair. It wasn't the fact i had hair that was great, it was the certainty i had hair, and the absolute lack of care about my appearance that mattered.
That's what we've been robbed of - the feeling that we are normal.

There's a superficial layer to this disease, sure. But it is the underlying impact to the perception of ourselves that truly crushes us.

That's sad. It's like an old man dreaming about his youth. Too bad we are youths who'll never truly be ones. We can only dream and hope. Thanks for the feels bro

Are you crazy? :D
If I had all of my hair back, I would not feel normal at all! I would feel like Batman and sport:

- A man bun at least once in my life. Then cut it after one day. But first I want to show it at an indie market;
- Pre-nationalist-conversion Metallica hair at a metal concert;
- Hugh Grant's silly middle part at a wedding party;
- Colin Farrell's bangs in a casino.

If my hair transplant turns out ok, I'm gonna grow my hair a little more and do the man bun thing. I actually did it before but it looked sh*t with my receding and thinning hair, might look ok this time,

I miss the feeling of going to the hairdresser and feeling awesome when I walk out the door... When I leave my stylist now, I feel nothing but shame, because It's not my real hair that's on my head - just an illusion.
Sorry to read this,
I think the only way to think about this "illusion" is that hair is an illusion anyways, from a Vedic point of view. Like everything else.
Otherwise, we go ballistics.

shitty feeling

I don't think our hair loss situations are comparable, but all I feel when I get my hair cut is massive anxiety: exposed, and hoping they don't trim off too much in the parts I rely on to make my combover work

:( I remember walking out and feeling great. going directly to playing basketball, sporting my hair in front of the girls... Now... I don't even go. I can't. I've learned to cut my own hair.

I'm sorry to hear this, Buckthorn. When my hair loss was becoming unbearable I learned to cut my hair myself too, but of course I could never get it right, and ended up with short, uneven hair. Still better than going to the salon and have everyone analyze my hair though. It pains me to hear that hair loss has made your confidence so low you now cut your own hair, because I can relate too well. I hope some day you'll get some relief.

It could be the new French fashion :)

In five years, it will be used in the Paco Rabanne commercials, those with Sean O'Prey & Hana Jirickova! :)
