I've been taking generic finasteride, 1mg from Cipla, Finpecia, for a year.
My supply has been running down so I re-ordered from another website (not sure if we're allowed to mention names here). What I received was called Proscalpin.
The pills are significantly larger, and the packaging looks amateurish.
After some suspicions, I did a little taste-test. The Proscalpin tastes vile. Like hairspray in your mouth. The Finpecia tastes fine, sort of sweet with a slightly bitter aftertaste. This jives exactly with a description I read on another forum.
So there you have it. I sent $150 to someone in India who I think ripped me off.
I'm working on re-ordering, this time to get some more Cipla, Fincar 5mg this time.
Be careful out there, this is an expensive mistake. Unfortunately I live in Pennsylvania, one of the medical-lawsuit capitals of the United States, so I'll probably never be able to get a real Proscar prescription, and Propecia is still $75+ a month.
Oh well, I'll keep trying.
