I Watched The Needle Save Another Man: Heroin And Hair Loss

Is there any evidence to support the claim that heroin use prevents hair loss? All I’ve managed to find so far is some bro science pertaining to the testosterone suppressing qualities of heroin, and the anecdotal evidence everyone regurgitates about never seeing a bald junkie, or heroin addicted rockstar. I was hoping one of the forum's pharmacologists would be willing to shed some light on the matter (or to “give it some thought”, as they say).

Disclaimer: this is thread is not in any way a recommendation to use heroin, as you can’t hit the gym when you are nodding off.

Pure form heroin isn't even that bad for you and used safely you would be at little risk, even over long periods of time, as long as you kept healthy in other ways, you could smack up every single evening and go to work the next morning fresh as a fullhead smackhead daisy.

The stigma is that it's associated with people who don't look after themselves at all, have other actual issues, and take street heroin which can be cut with anything or of piss poor quality.

Also is that Christopher Owens song supposed to rip off The Tide is High?

I still check the forum a few times a day but haven't been arsed "getting into it" lately and haven't had the time to really post much in weeks.

Right now I'm bored but in a good way.

exactly. the morphine they give you at hospitals is pure unadulterated heroine. we aren't coming out of appendicitis operations as junkies.

I disagree, it's becoming a well know fact that opiate addiction is at epidemic levels and becoming a huge problem.
Starts with with stuff like oxycontin, then moves to heroin cause it's cheaper, then other drugs like meth and crack.
You should watch Drug inc offered on Netflix right now - very eye opening stuff, well done documentary I might add.
You'd be shocked how many are users, the coworker sitting across from you could be having problems.

Addiction does seem to be that main I'll, and it's destroying a lot of lives right now. It's how a lot of Americans are coping with despair so I don't see a solution to this epidemic.

I was scared of developing addiction when I took Vicodin after surgery, thankfully I didn't.

I'd rather be bald than addicted to drugs. This is bs though. I've seen lots of balding junkies.
Exactly. And a bit on the irresponsible side to come on a blog of baldness despair and infer highly addictive opiates maybe a remedy
to grow hair.

Really think it's because the cost of heroin is so cheap now. We never used to ahve so many heroin addicts. Once the price
went down, it's happening everywhere in America.

lol the heroin epidemic in Italy started in the 70s and ended in the 00s. My older relatives always told me about the big cities in Italy being infested with heroin addicts. I've been trained since I was very young to spot (and stay away from) used needled in the corners of the streets even in rich neighborhoods.

From my knowledge, Eastern Euro countries, Germany and England were the most affected by the heroin epidemic. It was all about punk rock also. Heroin is the ultimate form of alienation from society. It's the finest form of rebellion. I suggest you to read Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo. It's a cool, unalduterated picture of heroin Europe.

lol i've heard of this before. esoteric politically incorrect knowledge. the main thing iirc was that its easy to overdose on, but actually does no real damage.

A person would live longer and be healthier as a heroin addict than todays youth that consume 50g of sugar daily and headed for metabolic syndrome.

Can we start a thread about opium now? I miss the old dens.
