If you survive to your late 30s with a decent head of hair, is there still a chance you could lose it all by 50?

I've noticed when you see some young people in their early 20s with thick hair you can almost tell they'll never go bald. And when you see a young person with thin hair you can almost tell they will.

Can a person who has lasted untill their late 30s with decent thickness still go on to lose it? I mean, obviously they could, but is there a much less chance of them losing it? Like much much less?

I think the consensus is if you start losing in your mid to late 20's its usually non aggressive and these blokes usually respond the best to treatment. But there are outliers I guess since genetics can be unforgiving.

That's bullshit I had a good mane up to like 27 years old only took a year of diffuse for me to need to start taking care of my hair and by 29 I needed concealer. You just never know and to be immune to any balding you may as well ask to win the lottery
Right,fuckin bullshit.I was nw0 at 36 I am nw2 minimum with diffuse thinning on top at 38

I ve been on finasteride. for the last 7 months, hair is below baseline
You probably have an aggressive balding gene? What age did you start losing your hair? I was seeing amazing results on finasteride at 3 months in and I'm 26.

I'm 31 and currently NW1, diffuse makes some crown show but I've been seeing improvement being on vasodilators recently like actual visible regrowth I'm hopeful for the first time
Thats a good attitude my friend,I am on the same regimen as you and i am hopeful.

Yes I've been on finasteride for 3 years had nothing but ongoing diffuse
if its not stabilized in 3 years, time to swap something or ramp it up a gear.

Minoxidil for 1.5 years did nothing for me, i actually reduced it to 1x a day 1.25 a month ago. Recently added vasodilators are MSM and l-arginine x2 a day

And MSM makes my hair feel beautiful by the way
I think topical minoxidil is loads of sh*t, oral or bust. But oral has many nasty side effects as well

Also what do you mean by MSM is the tablets for joint pain and arthritis? You said you take 12000mg daily which sounds like a lot. Does that have any health effects?

Also what's your dosage of l-arginine

Ramp it up a gear meaning?
If you are on Generic and still losing ground, try swapping to a decent (known) generic first, if you are still losing ground on a decent generic, might be time to consider adding Avodart.
