If you survive to your late 30s with a decent head of hair, is there still a chance you could lose it all by 50?

I had a full head of hair until about 35 and then I lost a lot of hair on the entire top of my head. From norwood 1 to norwood 5.6 as a goal. My father is over 65 and has a full head of hair, but my mother now has visible hair loss. I think I inherited it from my mother.

Yes I've been on finasteride for 3 years had nothing but ongoing diffuse

My regimen right now is 10g of MSM in the morning, 2g afternoon, and of course topical both times too. I added l-arg recently too. Good so far man I might post update at 60 days (which is like 6-7 days away), some thin hairs I'd been waiting finally becoming visible from afar as well as new ones
what is MSM?

Mel Gibson was another one with super thick hair and then lost it by late 30's and had a hair transplant.

Still remember this scene from Saturday Night Fever:

I've got this type of hairline right now and I've seen other guys post here with it too. It probably leads to baldness in the end for the majority of us. A mature hairline is just slow balding that will eventually get worse. Best to get on treatments at this stage to prevent it getting too bad too quickly.

Hmmm doesn't look like it from your profile pic ;)
But I think I know what you mean by ultra low hairlines in your youth. In all honesty we will lose some from aging, and finasteride
or anything else won't stop it - only slow it.

Yep Mel's another good example.

Up until the mid 90's his hair is still a lethal weapon with the ladies.

By 2000 he's firing blanks (age 44)

He's also one of the best example's of the damage chain smoking and the Aussie Outback sun does to your skin.

Mel's looks got triple teamed, by the Norwood Reaper, Nicotine Reaper and the UV Reaper.
