is there a word for someone who refuses to accept the truth, in the face of overwhelming evidence? if so, thats you I_Hate_DHT. otherwise your just an idiot. you have no evidence for your 'assertions' and a huge amount against them.

It's bloody damn fine to know that all statistic data from the drug companies are 100% honest, always true and nothing but true!

...but wait!

:freaked2:

If a president candidate can win the post by manipulating a couple of thousand votes AND get away with it , I'm sure a M*rck can to 8)

Finasteride is still, in my opinion, nr#1 treatment against male pattern baldness and maybe the mentality of youngsters today cause more sides then it should..

I dont think i got many sides when i was 24....now that i am 30 the libido one is a big issue.
Shame that people get so hostile to each other over this idea. Yeah the survey here is useless in terms of proof for the reasons outlined above. Then again I think it is pretty clear that 2% is "a positive spin on things". I have seen at least one study which listed a considerably higher number in a survey of finasteride users.
And this kind of thing is commonplace with regards to new drugs. Look at the litereature on SSRIs like prozac when they first came out and how they were so well tolerated with little to no side effects. People complained that they made them fat and sexually dysfunctional but there was hardly any mentions of this in the literature and the incidence of such side effects was listed as low in the clinical trials. Years later and weight gain and sexual dysfunction are commonly known to be very common side effects on SSRIs. Drugs such as wellbutrin are even promoted as not having these sexual sides. And thats the key - when a new drug is developed that has similar efficacy as finasteride without any sexual sides we will begin to hear about those side efects. Because it will make good financial sense to promote the new drug by rubbishing what you previously ignored about the old one.
