People, just don't hold your breath.

Take the proven treatments and get along with your life.

This is a healthy advise..

Could be. I just hate the guy.

Always felt like he 'fucked' his way into being a movie star.
He was an indie-darling and a character actor but went out with Gwentth Paltrow fixed his teeth and all of a movie star. I never got it.

If you haven't, read my post immediately before yours, as it summarizes my thoughts.

I also love my job and don't plan on ever being a parent, so those aren't issues.
I feel sorry for the young guys with rapid hairloss but by the sounds of it you have only minor hairloss and you carry on like a sploit only child who gets everything he wants. Some of the 'now generation' need to go outside and live life. Life was a lot more fun and simple before computers and facebook dominated peoples lives.

How is being realistic "getting in the way of discussing contemporary science?" What has been said that is doing that?

It's a simple question: What new protocol do you think will be available by 2018? Anything? For that to be possible, that hypothetical protocol would have to be finishing up on a successful Phase III study. Which protocol is currently in a successful, soon-to-be-finished Phase III? And by the way, to get the marketing and logistics up and running by 2018, this hypothetical protocol must be a certainty RIGHT NOW.

So which current protocol under study is in the above described scenario?
Why of course the Brasi magic potion, it doesnt need 3 phases as its a cosmetic, think Loreal and all there hair growth products lol

and you're an idiot. What is "sploit"? Do you mean to say "spoiled"? Like, if you want to be patronizing, at least make an effort to sound smarter than the person you are talking to.

This tangent had nothing to do with hairloss.

I feel that it's better to die before you're old and crippled than to die when you are old and crippled. Don't like it? Don't agree? Feel "triggered"? Well, I don't give a f***, so get off my nuts about it and cry somewhere else.

Did the FDA suddenly shorten the trial paradigm? Because if it didn't, nothing has changed. Histogen keeps claiming it will be releasing in "a year or two," then keeps moving the timeline. Shishido? Isn't even in Phase I. Everything else that finished out phase II failed.

Being "due" something is not how science works. Science is methodical, and moves slowly. Science is about setbacks and recalibration. There is nothing in any current pipeline that will be available within the next two years under the very best of circumstances. Even if one of the future protocols was ready RIGHT NOW, the logistics of rolling it out to the consumer alone would take well over a year.

You'll learn, but hopefully you'll actually have something new to use in a decade or so.

I'm not going to explain why the timelines of these Japanese companies is perfectly plausible because people on these forums have explained it time and again. Maybe if you lazy dipshits could read you'd know the answer.

hair transplant business must be having a bad time now. So many shills, but at least you should be a more knowledgeable shill. Please read the Japnaese new rules for commercialisation. You are a joke in this forum.

Speaking of toys, go sit on a sand-paper dildo and shut up.

I used to think this was just a sort of inside joke, but I'm starting to think it has validity. Can there really be this many hair loss sufferers who are so miserable they doubt everything, don't bother to read about the research, have an extremely ethnocentric view? It's strikes me odd that so many seem to be so eager for things to fail; almost like they have something to gain outside of "I told you so".

Histogen is my only, and hopefully last, hope. The thing is, you still have to use DHT and other
medications after Histogen. Otherwise, the effects only last one hair cycle. It is said to last
two to five years.

Now, the reason it's Histogen, and not Replical (or whatever they call it in Japan), is because
the distance.

I really can't justify, at this phase in my life, traveling away from my family just for hair treatment (although,
I can justify medicating and spending lots of money on my hair, for insanity purposes! ) Currently I live
in the US. And I don't have access to hair medications from continents outside America (Canada and
Mexico, but that's about it).

In fact, there used to be a time when Amazon sold high concentrated Minoxidil. They don't even sell
f*****g five percent Lipogaine anymore. It's pathetic.

Yet I can purchase Androgens and body altering chemicals (antibiotics) from foreign countries. No problem.
And prescription strength to!

Go figure!

Yeah, that's fair.

Yeah IMO we will be using AAs decades from now and most new things will just stack with it. AAs are just too effective and well researched to throw away short of a complete Norwood 1 to Norwood 7 flat out cure which I personally still think is decades away

Shiseido actually started phase II of their clinical trials in Japan and can offer the treatment during the trial. Histogen is also entering phase III (if it hasn't done so already) in Mexico and just landed a major partner so it very well can be available in Mexico in 2 years.

These "logistics" have been thought about before hand these companies are not ran by idiots, Shiseido already has their cell culturing facility up and running. As for Histogen it's simply injections it won't take an additional year to roll that out.

So you are wrong under the best circumstances 2 new treatments can be available in 2 years

"No way, man. There's no way that's going to happen; it's decades away at best. I know this because reasons. Also, the cure didn't come out back in '85 and I'm still mad about it."

Chill out, bros.
Things ain't the same as in the 80's or 90's.
Even ten years ago we couldn't amplify derma papilla cells adequately, and now we can...
iPS technology is in its infancy, sure, but that doesn't mean it can't develop in leaps and bounds.
Replicel's and Histogen's treatments ain't for big Nws, but they can help those in smaller ones. And there are no major side effects (of course, we don't know how long their effect lasts...).
Tsuji's deed has the potential of being a breakthrough, but, realistically speaking, four years for a commercial release is a joke (I hope I be proven wrong, though, :p).
Once again, chill out!

I've been on one forum or another for about 20 years. TWENTY YEARS. In that time, do you know what new drug was released? Dutasteride. And it's still off label. I've seen it all - Follica, Intercytex, etc. Nothing is going to show up tomorrow. Nothing is going to show up next year. Nothing is going to show up "in five years." 20 years? I'd be shocked if there wasn't a new protocol within the next 20 years (and by then, if it wasn't genome-based, I'd be very disappointed), but a more near-term projection beyond that is not only optimistic, it's counter to history.

Those of you on tenterhooks waiting for something by 2018, forget about it - get an hair transplant and move on with your life.

I've been on here 10 years, and unfortunately tenure on a hairloss website doesn't add credibility to your predictions... I'm pretty fed up with people thinking that because they've been on here longer that it somehow gives them more credibility in determining releases! I don't know any better than someone who signs up for this site tomorrow, all we have is what those involved give us, and I'm going to take their word over a tenured hair loss website member...

The human mind is hardwired to pick through the festering carrion of the past to dig up even one glistening gem of greatness while conveniently discarding everything that sucked; it works in reverse, too.

That's really what we're seeing here: People are thinking back to when Rogaine and Propecia first came out, or the failures of Intercytex and Alderaan or whatever they were called, but conveniently "forgetting" that there weren't nearly as many players in the game and the technology was far weaker then.

I also love my job and don't plan on ever being a parent, so those aren't issues.

Look...I'm not sure what you were told when you were a kid....but....WE ALL GET OLD.(which I know you know because you have been harping about it for pages) Nothing is gonna change that. Yeah it sucks but the measure of a man is how you deal with stuff like this. People get old and die. This is never gonna change. Enjoy life the best you can...if you think not having kids is the way to go..don't have them. I don't have any. Less stress..lol.
I'm in my mid 40's and can still pass for late 20's early 30's. Still thin and have an ok amount of hair.(Thinning a bit but doable for now.) The point is work, have fun and try not to worry about aging because there is not anything you can do about it. Plus trust me...when you are in your 40's you will still hate getting old but will feel differently about things. You take the good with the bad. I know several people in there 80's on up who are still optimistic about their lives. Some have hair, some don't...but ALL continue to live their lives the best they can..KNOWING that there are no guarantees getting up the next morning.

It sucks getting old, sucks being bald. We all want to look and feel young in our 20's, 30's, 40's and so on. Our only hope is that in the future medicine will cure all of humanities flaws and we can be forever young and with full heads of hair, never worrying about diseases, aging and other sh*t.

Nice thought but that will never happen. The sun will go nova first...;)

You know, I'm glad this thread happened because it's shown me something important: There are two sides to the "blue pill".

The only thing "sad" that's happening here is the amount of butthurt and how I have to defend a personal belief that doesn't even affect you.

I never used to understand how or why I had such a strong likes : message ratio, but now it's obvious: The truth only matters to people on here as long as it's convenient. Yes, passed a certain age, life does get increasingly more difficult to enjoy to its fullest. Don't believe me? Go to any old-folks home. For every 80 year old that still possesses Mel Brooks' level of energy and enthusiasm, there are 1000x more sitting in their wheelchairs shitting their pants and unable to tell yesterday from last month. You're going to be like Mel (who's actually 90) though, and not like the average person? Right. I said I don't want to live be in that state and think middle-age is a reasonable amount of time to have lived that would save you from such a fate.

What do I get for that? Personal attacks and accused of being "disrespectful" to two trolls. One of which has been on my nuts since before I joined here and the other who is salty af because I take the word of scientists and their research over his ignorant, pessimistic rhetoric and hope for future technologies to fail so that he can't blame baldness for his personal problems anymore. What do I get for that kind of thing? Praise, apparently. Yeah, go me; tell those people it's not like the 80s anymore, Japanese laws are more progressive, expose how that obsessive weight lifter is just hiding his insecurity behind machismo, say women don't generally like bald guys, tell off that naysayer who's using the same disproven arguments as 1000x before, share a funny .gif! Say, "Hey, life starts to suck more and more as you get older and I think I'd rather go before I get very old." and it's like vultures on a f*****g dead gazelle.

The best anyone can do to show why I'm not allowed to have the right to live my life this way or have the audacity to say they know what I'll think in the future is mental gymnastics about "optimism", personal attacks and my post count. What a joke.

Two sides to the blue pill: Those who reject reality entirely and those who only care about reality when it's convenient.
