I never really looked much into systems because I read on hair loss forums like these that it involves living in fear of being discovered. And there is also the worry of stepping out one day and having hair overnight when you first put it on.

As for hair transplants, most specialists told me that I'm not a good candidate because I have a pattern between NW6 and NW7 pattern and only have 2k-3k grafts available from the scalp. My last resort is body and beard hair. That is more expensive and it hasn't always been affordable to me. I'm looking at the options regarding that now. And one more reason why I have delayed is because on some websites I read this bald positivity nonsense.

understood! well if you ever change your job, you might want to consider it again, then at least those people wouldnt know about it...

yeah thought that you might be too far gone for a transplant...
just thought that the way you talk, something needs to be done...
and you probably already tried all medication available...
dont get me wrong, i actually believe what you say (cant say the same for a lot of other people^^), so even if someone else here says that hair isnt the issue, you probably feel way better when you got something on your head, system, or transplant...
of course both arent really ideal, but it is at least something...

Yeah I did that and now 2 other coworkers want to get a transplant because of my result + a female coworker's boyfriend already booked one with my surgeon.

I think using body hair is a dangerous risk. With 2-3k grafts you could get mediocre coverage on the front half of your head and buzz it. That might frame your face better. However, body hair never looks as good as real hair, even beard hair. I'd tread lightly on that.

Yes i would do that with a transplant. I even saw somebody once in the office wearing a baseball cap and I noticed that there was what looked like fue scarring underneath. But I wouldn't want to do it with a system.

Even in an ideal situation where I could hide the hair transplant, the plan would always be to tell people about it but once it is grown out and looks good. I'm so invisible as a baldie that I think that nobody would notice. And many are not norwood aware ; some who meet me for the first time with buzzed head say that I might want to consider growing it out (though the hairline is barely visible, the norwood horseshoe can be seen from the back and I certainly can not grow it out).

Do you have examples where body and beard hair, blended with scalp hair, doesn't look good? Seems like I'd need at least 5k grafts. But actually some specialists did say that they could work with me and give me just those 2-3k grafts in the front area.

its only recently since going to the gym, skincare , fixing my style I have been getting a sh*t load more attention

in my 20s when I was a NW1, skinny as hell and less stylish - geeky, would get f*** all attention

common sense... of course you need to get to know each other, but its either you hit it off, or you dont...
if you hit it off, then there shouldnt be anything to complain about...
if you there are issues in the beginning where there should be something like a honeymoon phase, then guess how it turns out once that phase is over^^
