Guys, I got crazy shedding and I dont know why I am still taking finasteride every day or every other day, around 1 mg and i became quite desperate. I started finasteride 14 months ago and I just dont know why this crazy shedding appeared:/
I can post some pictures if u want to see it. Anybody experienced crazy shedding after taking finasteride for more than a year??

If u claim any side effects from finasteride people on this site will demonise your statements, make out how wrong you are because, hey, they know u so much better than u know yourself right !!!

The post you put up in Jan, saying u look like a freak in a post treatment photo. U DO NOT look like a freak, although ur eyes are blacked out, u look like a good looking dude, I would say u have a good shaped head for the buzz cut. Looks good man seriously .

I posted recently about taking finasteride, it's effects on me, after only three months I dropped it, I couldn't take the change in me. I can't advise u currently, I'm sorry I obviously don't have the experience with finasteride. I would never tell u to quit, just make a decision that's right for u.

All i can tell is that I use minoxidil and nizoral shampoo, it stopped my shedding and is helping me maintain, I can't say that will work in your case, but from the big three, that's all that's left I suppose. I have also accepted that this is happening, I so I don't worry about it anymore, that makes me happy. I'm happy with thinning hair a recent new girl friend and great sex life.

I hope that helps u anyway dude, try and maintain what u can, but ultimately accept ur self and be happy. Achieving this is the true success story for anyone suffering from hair loss.

I've kept hearing about low libido as a result of finasteride but I'm pretty sure I'm alrwsyd having issues with it as a result of long term pornography addiction. Haven't started on finasteride yet.

If you can, try putting aloe vera gel on your scalp at morning or night. I read somewhere in the forum that it helps with shedding.

Thanks man, it felt really great to read this from you. I think I will keep at finasteride till the beginning of summer, then I will go for SMP and buzz my head while still using minoxidil and nizoral. Thats seems the best for me
and after 1-2 years I will go for a hair transplant. I would be totally okay with this diffused look if it was permanent and wouldnt have the fear that the rest will fall out too. So I am ready to have buzzed hair for 1-2 years, and get back my old libido
Recently I made a body transformation in a 3 month challange, and I was happy with the results
The last 2 pictures was 1 month ago, I had longer hair and was already shedding like crazy. Yesterday I was at the hairdresser with strong lights probably thats why I bursted out when I saw myself during the haircut with wet hair in the mirror. Well I guess I wont have to go again there for a while after my SMP is done

lower your finasteride dosage to 0.5mg a day if you are that worried.

do NOT stop treatments or you could risk losing all of your awesome gains.

just have patience, dont overthink things, and keep living your life.

You shouldn't quit until you've tried everything to combat sides. I'm heard people have good results using supplements and L-something or other.

Your Regrowth was really impressive, and I can imagine you'd maintain for a long time. I would try RU again before you quit anti-androgens altogether, you might be able to maintain without sides. However if all else fails, you do have the right shaped head for a skinhead/buzzcut.

Quick question... I guess you wax your chest, but would you say you have naturally above average body hair/leg hair/beard hair? I ask because I read another post where there's a correlation between being a good responder to finasteride if you have a lot of body hair.
It worries me as I have very little body or leg hair and I'm really hoping to get some regrowth!
