This goes a lot deeper than hair..
That Alek Minassian wasn’t a bad looking guy. Women owe men nothing but I’ll admit there’s a lot of money grabbing distasteful “ladies” out there with zero morals, but if certain men can’t brush off things and avoid those situations it’s on them.

It is very painful if you can’t find love and if you feel like an outsider in your teenage years. Finding love and connections is pretty much what life is about.
It’s a sad story, also the fact that a 3-year old child was killed.
There are bad women, as there are bad men.

There are many men that look a lot worse than this guy who have managed to get laid, I think incels standards are too high.

High standards or a sense of self-entitlement. What starts off maybe as a stood up date or a ghosting turns into an obsession of resentment towards unbeknownst innocent women. Some counselling or meds could help it from progressing further. Kinda sad really.

Alek Minassian is not an attractive guy. Women wouldn't give that guy a second look.

I think that there should be more support for people like this. He did the most heinous thing but 3-10 years ago he was probably an average guy struggling. With the right support, he might not have become a killer. Incels exist and will continue to exist but society should be able to stop them from killing. E.g. You can't go to a therapist and talk about being an incel because it's a bad word and concept, and incels are made to feel like their whole life is their own fault. There are schemes to get people out of religious extremism and back into society but nothing for incel extremism... Some of these incel guys must feel like society doesn't want them. So I think that more should be done to de-radicalize these incels before they commit these terrible attacks.

All he had to do was have a shave and cut that rats nest.

exactly my thoughts

would have been a lot more attractive if he did - looks a bit like mike Patton from faith no more come to think of it

Again, hair was not an issue.

The real issue here is a sense of self entitlement

anything of materialistic value, having a partner, career etc requires a lot of hard work to achieve, and also along the way one will have their fair set of failures.

I am quite successful. Good career, promotion, climbing up the corporate world in a prestigious company, on a good salary, have had a few lays this year. But GOD it was so much hard work to get any of those things. Also failed along the way, some women rejecting me, being overlooked for promotions etc

the worse thing anyone can do is give up, blame others, like this incel and @doubleindemnity

I'm not going to relate it to what this person did because nothing can justify what has been done.

But it sounds to me like you didn't work extremely hard but did normal stuff. Getting in shape, socializing, working hard in your career, dressing well... these are things that 90% of men already do and we have a whole impact section of guys who do this. What you are suggesting sounds to me like somebody saying to a person who was eliminated at the first heat of the 100m in the Olympics "he/she must have given up; if he/she had worked harder, he/she could have been a medalist". Sometimes people just don't have "it" (talent, background etc. etc.) to succeed in a certain area. Guys on the impact section do everything that you do but don't have any of these things in their lives and the only difference is their hair.

I know lots of people who are less successful, by that do not have a prestigious job, a lot less money, not taking good care of yourself etc

Not every Tom , dick or Harry breaks into companies like Google into leadership roles

many will end up in small - medium sized firms

If you are leadership at a brand name firm then why do you still live at home (you said this once before)? People in that position get paid up to hallf a million per year and could buy an apartment in cash. Anyway, that's not the point... the point is that you seem to believe that hard work = success. But there are many people who work equally as hard or harder than you or I and have much less success. That's a universal truth and comparing your success to that of others on the impact section is a particular example. Guys on there are not doing anything different to you, but their results are different. Same as if I trained like the Jamaica sprint team, I wouldn't necessarily end up breaking 100m in under 10s. Guys on the impact section don't have the hair to be like you the same way that I don't have the genetic makeup and muscle insertions to be like Asafa Powell.
