Is it normal to lose 40 damn hairs every shampoo...

I took accutane and suspected my hair was thinning on the scalp so I got a f*****g drain catcher to see how many hairs i lose in morning and night.

Both times are like 40 hairs per shower and keep in mind I shampooed both times and this is like 5 months after starting accutane but I quit 3 weeks ago.

Am I tripping or balding. Or telogen effluvium I don’t know at this rate. f*** me man.

What the f***? That’s actually brutal. Thing is mines probably like that in a day. Every morning I can probably lose 40 hairs. And who knows? In due time I may be on your level of shedding. f*** hopefully it’s just telogen effluvium and not male pattern balding in a diffused shape. I have no way to tell.

Alright. It probably is over 100 though. Just because this is in the shower alone and who knows how many I lose in my day to day activities.

There's 277 individual hairs on that picture i counted them all. And those are just the ones that reached my table

I didn’t have Telogen Effluvium in until I used finasteride. When I shed and clogged my drain every day in my early twenties it was normal shedding because my hair was long and thick. They always grew back.

And why do you think that was? How long did you hold onto finasteride before you dropped it?

Honestly, some shed big amount of hair in shower and dont bald. My sister is shedding crazy amount of hair all-day, and still she gets angry because she can't style her hair, it's just tooo thick and such haha.

Male pattern baldness is not about shedding, it is a slow process, compare it to aging/maturing. The life cycle of a terminal hair gets just shorter and shorter due to sensitivity to hormones, ie. Androgens, and maybe even Prolactin!?

If you shed crazy amount of hair, you didnt before, it has most likely a medical background.
You may have problems with your scalp condition, breaking hair shafts, or even medication you take or you just started treatment.

Maybe my male pattern baldness gene wasn’t expressed until my late twenties. This is my hair at 30 and I would shed hundreds of thick black hairs all through my twenties(if my hair was long) if it was short, there was minimal shedding. Even in this picture I ha lost some density. My hair was crazy thick in my teens and twenties. I buzz now after finasteride raped me.

My hair is already not thick and short. I shouldn’t be shedding this much.
