Is it ok if I switch to finasteride if I'm doing dutasteride mesotherapy?

So I finally decided to try dutasteride mesotherapy every 3 month since I've found a clinic which does at a very competitive price. The doctor told me that since I'm going to apply dutasteride directly on the scalp, I won't need to take it orally since it would be same mechanism of action. He suggested me to take finasteride instead to get further results since finasteride works kind of different than dutasteride and I could get a better outcome. How accurate is that? Do you think I should drop oral dutasteride?

My hair is longer now so I can hide it decently for the moment, so it would be hard to spot in photos. I've been checked with the trichoscope last wednesday and it showed more miniaturized hair than 4 months ago. I also can feel it when I take a shower or comb my hair. So it is not something subjective. About my question, do you that doctor's affirmation is ok?

Like I said, I only think you need finasteride and now your doctor is saying the same thing so follow his advice.

Oral dutasteride outperformed Topical dutasteride and mesotherapy in a study. Keep that in mind bro.

You are right, I might take 1 day dutas 1 day finas to give it a try while on mesotherapy. I just need to try things because my regime is clearly not working as intended. If it doesn't work, I go back to every day dutasteride.

Yes and raise your dose of duta. I use high dose duta 3 Times weekly. Using high dose everyday is just very bad for liver and dutasteride has a long half life and I save money on pills too. One guy was on 2.5mg dutasteride everyday and he had bad liver values... He switched to 0.5mg daily and liver was normal again. I read a study that 3mg oral dutasteride once weekly blocked as much dht as 0.5mg daily.

So for example. 1mg dutasteride monday wednesday friday, 1mg finas tuesday, thursday and saturday and 0.5mg dutas on sunday and ofc mesotherapy every 3 months.

Maybe u missed but 3mg once weekly was as effective as 0.5mg daily.

Thats up to you. But i know that 2mg blocks 70 to 75% of scalp dht and 2.5 blocks 79 to 83%. This is why i take a high dose at once so it satures my whole body, blood and scalp skin. 3mg would sature alot.

Decided to not derma stamp and apply duta. Too much Will go systemic if you do it, I noticed my ejaculation was even more fucked. i have now read dozens of People getting Side Effects from topical dutasteride without needling. It can infact go systemic. Applying 10mg Topical once weekly now thats it for me.

Tbh ever since adding ketoconazole shampoo shedding is under 10 again in shower. It has decreased shedding drastically. I leave it in for 10 min before i wash it out. But i dont use standard nizoral shamooo i use a special one with ketoconazole.
