Is it worth doing so...

Hi all,
After a long time...I'm back

I am planning to have a gyno surgery this September and have the glands removed. I am taking 50mg oral spironolactone alongside my other treatments for 4 months now and I've got gyno in my right and left breast. My right breast is now hardening and taking shape.I dont think 50mg of oral spironolactone is going to be enough to help with hairloss... I am planing on getting that surgery, because if gyno will continue I will have to stop the oral spironolactone.
My goal is: once I will have the surgery, I will increase my oral spironolactone dose to 200mg daily, to block as much androgen as I can without getting gyno. By doing so I won't be too sensitive to the side effects.

If I do increase the spironolactone dose I see it as giving my existing regimen a bit of a boost.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Don't do that, i know a couple of guys they had surgery and after some time their gyno came back.(even without spironolactone)

If your gyno just started why can't you try tamoxifen or something similar?
Anyway thats what i am going to do. I ordered tamoxifen 2 days ago(got gyno from dutasteride)

thanks yvakin for the feedback,

Btw how's dutasteride Working For You? Have you seen any regrowth taking it?

I had an interesting conversation with the plastic surgeon today. I must say he covered every detail, so much, I had no questions to ask him.

He told me that if the tissue(gland) is completely removed the gyno won't come back. I'm pretty sure those guys haven't completely removed the glands and that's why the gyno came back. I don't think Tamoxifen will help with gyno at all.

I am really determined in doing this for myself...

I wish you a best luck with your surgery. I am glad you found somebody who knows what he is doing.

But why you think that Tamoxifen will not do anything.
I'm gonna try it anyway, AFAIK if you catch your gyno early pills might help, i just can't stand that fat in my boobs :jackit:

I think dutasteride is working, i shed a lot but i see some tiny hairs coming out . Hate the gyno thing tho.

I've tried Oral spironolactone for a months and i was horny all the time :dunno:
How is it working for you?

Nothing major to report ...
My only goal is to increase my dose to 200mg which will give my existing regimen a bit of a boost.
IMO getting horny by spironolactone isn't a bad sign. Stick with it. Have you previously used finasteride and had success, before taking dutas?

okay yea that's skinny , cuz i read that gyno is 75% fat tissue so when u r overweight to begin with u r more likely to get it , but u obv. prove that point wrong
