there are many people who start balding, reach nw2 or 2.5 or even 3. They don't take any treatments. They stay there the entire life

That’s exactly what happened to me, I reached nw3 and stayed there for 15 years without taking any treatment.

Now I want to go up the scale and spend another 15 on treatments.

How well minoxidil works probably has a great amount to do with how fast your are balding/how sensitive your hairs are to androgens.

For example, 5 percent minoxidil is working great for me and even helped me to gain. I don't think i have a very strong balding gene for other long reasons which i won't explain. Anyway, the point is: Those who have really strong hairloss probably won't maintain that long on mixnoxidil. If your hair is only slowly being eaten away by dht then the minoxidil is probably offsetting the damage in a cosmetic sense (although i assume the follicle is slowly being damaged still).

I will agree there are a lot of people who have great success with just rogaine.

The reason you rarely see any on here is just for that reason: They don't have hairloss problems anymore.

Its the same reason the majority of people on this forum claim to have finasteride side effects. The other millions who don't have no reason to be a member in a forum like this.

I am one of the good responders to minoxidil luckily. I pray that it will last me a long time yet i accept i will eventually have to take finasteride if i choose to maintain. Hopefully this is years from now :)
