Is Propecia really a good idea?

A daily dosage of 1 mg Finasteride increased the hair count of some 50 or 60 percent of individuals in the clinical trials.

The drug works for hairloss on its own. Now, I understand your point - to see real, cosmetically significant regrowth, you'll probably need more that just Finasteride. But the facts are that the drug does indeed increase haircounts on its own.

I would know, since Finasteride has regrown virtually all the hair I have regrown. But what happened to me is not Dogma, nor do I treat it as such.

1) my hair did not start to fill in untill i added spironolactone.
2)you are marginilized in your assesment of folligen
3)f*****g doctors who are you a sheep or something

Take your propaganda and shove it up your f*****g ***.

ps. I poseted something for you in the moral post, good luck
and don't be a pussy, f*****.

hey i've got an idea, let's all start using vulgarities to spew mindless thoughts across the internet, way to earn some creditability. recognizing doctors as experts over yourself is being sheepish? what studies have you done? have you done anything but read things on the internet? give me one reason why your opinion is better than my dogs opinion? my statements about folligen and spironolactone are 100% true, if you don't like it blame science not me

NO!!!
Stay off it!!
Messes with your hormones and will cause problems, DON'T do it! Many people here have had problems.
As for your post about using gel, try using a good conditioner in the shower, and then rinse it out with cold water after you get most of it out with hot water.
I use sauve shampoo and conditioner, good stuff, easy on hair, non-abrasive.

I have been hearing alot of stories about Propecia, and to tell you the truth I have heard more bad than good.We all know there are sexuall side effects and other hormonal complications that can go with it.But what really discourages me from using it is the short term results. It will take up to a year to see if it even works for you. From what I have been hearing,if you do get results from it,they will begin to taper off after a few years and alot of people will start to lose hair again while still taking it!So,basically after a few years of taking all these pills you might still end up losing your hair, then if you get discouraged and decide to quit taking them because they aren't working anymore, then you are really FUCKED!Because your hair will fall out really quick.
I am not trying to knock on Propecia, but that is just the way I see it.I will try to deal with my hair problems using all topicals, until someone can convince me differently.

Suggest you re-read the research on the long term efficacy of the drug. You are still way better off from having taken propecia than not. Moreover, there is no data on the continued efficacy of propecia when taken with minxidil and nizoral. It is certainly possible that these drugs will help extend the useful life of the other.

And you can certainly refrain if you want.
