Is this a cowlick or should I switch to dutasteride?

Been on finasteride 1mg for two years now, and recently added 2.5mg oral minoxidill to my regimen so I'm just wondering if it seems like my crown is starting to thin or if I should switch to dutasteride. I started my finasteride treatment two years ago as a result of minor temporal recession, and the oral minoxidill I started taking in June of this year so it's been several months on this.

It's not a cowlick, it's just the crown. You appear to have a very luscious, thick and healthy head of hair so it's unlikely there's just thinning on the crown. It could just be the hair cycle that's making it sparser at this time, but it depends on whether you've noticed it is thinner on the crown over a longer period of time. I wouldn't be too concerned otherwise.

Looks like how my crown looked a few years ago, it got a bit worse on finasteride. I switched to dutasteride a month ago. If you've noticed a change, you're probably losing ground and should switch. Blaming sheds after you've already been on treatment for a year is just a cope so don't listen to anyone saying that it's a shed.

The majority of people have more hair on their sides and back then they do the crown. That's normal. Our skulls continue to grow for ten to twelve years, at which point it stops growing.
