Or maybe Fidia had so much pressure and harassment from the public *cough* hair loss talk forum members, which was clearly stated in their announcement mentioning emails and calls that they felt obliged to give some sort of update, the trials as far as we know only ended in December so I doubt the data has been compiled of effectiveness, I'm hoping this announcement was just to reassure the public that they are doing something and to stop harassing them.
well, if they said that the trials are finished and treatment is promising, or.. ok, just "trials are finished, we are analysing the data" everyone would just calm down and wait. But instead, they wrote some depressing bs, like "we don't know what to say, maybe there will be something out by 2018, maybe not. Sorry". That's how I understood it. I don't personally see anything good about it. And not trying to convince myself everything is ok just because Brotzu is involved in this story.

I think Fidia is just keeping their cards close to their chest for now.

Time will tell.. unfortunately that is what we are running out of Zzz

That kinda makes sense considering the announcement we got
how da hell it makes sense if they wrote areata and then changed it to ALOPECIA. if there was some other company involved they would have mentioned that or wouldn't have changed areata to alopecia

Fidia just fed naive dummies with crap and rumors. When you hear something from Italy, Turkey or ME one should never take their words on trust, it is a different culture, when they say "it works perfectly" it may mean it might not even work but they just think it has to work. I bet neither brotzu lotion nor that sh*t from turkey will ever come out, you may take a screenshot of this message.

Honestly the biggest dissapointment is the fact that there are so many dermatologists but no research what have they been doing for the past 30 years for the biggest cosmetic issue on the planet without effective treatments?

How certain people can not see that this product is going to be mediocre at best is beyond me at this stage. This lotion might still be released but honestly if the lotion showed any significant efficacy it would have been mentioned somewhere in the press release. I like to be optimistic but now its time to be realistic.

If it's delayed it's either not good enough or better than expected. I bet as always they just didn't find the results they were looking for and are now looking at the data for clues.

Yes and the most likely case is it is not good enough compared to minoxidil and now they will try to up concentration of ingredients to improve efficacy but as we know upping dosage does not always if rarely improves efficacy of cosmetics. Im not trying to be overly negative but guys you have to admit its starting to look like another dud. Swoop one of the most knowledgeable guys here was one of few not getting remotely excited at any stage. I came to work today in good from and to hear this news is disheartening.

The fact that they say we want to give you a safe/effective and STABLE solution confirms they have stability problems that make the lotion not effective after some time. That is the main issue in my eyes

The trend in this thread :

- STOP DISLINKING MY COMMENTS IDIOT
- CAN I KNOW WHY YOU DISLIKE MY POST?? ...

we should worry more about the lotion than the dislike count :)

But tbh there is an annoying guy who got banned several time and come back with new profile and the only thing he has in mind is to dislike comments.

I don't understand why don't you just ignore him. Trolls want for you to comment on their posts.

That said the delay with Brotzus lotion might not mean much difference to early Androgenetic Alopecia sufferers.
If the lotion works a year more won't do much difference. But to those like me it might mean I will pass the no coming back point this year and this could have helped me.

The main point is: Once Tsuji, Tissuse or Hairclone come along in 4-5 years we will have our "cure". These are big players with verified science and researchers behind them. Tsujis papers have been published in Nature (nuff said). The reason why most of us hyped about this was because it came out of nowhere, reportedly had good results and was meant to come out this year. If Fidia keeps delaying it then they deserve for this to come to market when other treatments will outshine it.

Now it all depends on Shiseido and Histogen as potential bridging treatments until the "cure" comes along.

How can you be sure that it will be 4-5 years?
Realistically we have to to calculate 10- 20 years...
13 years ago they said 10-15 years till the cure so lets make it 25 just to be certain...

Honestly, you're reading into it way too much.

The most likely scenario is exactly what they said: The study of the lotion and how to go about bringing it into production is ongoing and they expect to have it sorted out by 2018. That's it.

This is the first and only public statement regarding the product that the company has made. The lotion's efficacy, in Brotzu's original formula has already been documented, but even the layman should be able to tell that the process to bring something to market is a lot more involved than that.

There is nothing that is grim news regarding the press release. If you see it as such, it is because you are making assumptions that stretch beyond the information you have.

I can guarantee you there are MORE incredibly beautiful women in LA NYC Miami and Vegas than famous wealthy men to go around.

Also when someone is famous even when other person is famous--there is a 'wow' factor that is incomparable to non famous people..really wealthy too. Im not saying its landing people but if Stathan was a plumber he would not be landing a woman who looked like Rosie. And he's decent looking guy don't get me wrong but he is not on her level of looks OUTSIDE of Hollywood and being famous.

yes the wow factor is there for famous people, but comparing statham with any other famous person: he has the body, wealth and WOW factor but still lacks hair. she would have easily gone for any other celebrity rich guy with a WOW factor who isn't bald if hair was of an issue to her because she doesn't need a rich famous guy she is already rich and famous with WOW factor. i am comparing celebrities because it is an easy example. on an average level, please tell me you haven't seen hot women with a guy who isn't in her league of looks. to a lot of women, men are more than just looks. you can see this in your daily life.

no guy is in her level of looks even with hair. she is on a different level in terms of looks.

if chris evans was a plumber he would still be rejected by a girl who looks like rosie, not only statham. if evans was a plumber and statham was with a day job with and a nice income (not rich) he would have better opportunity than evans at girls.

I don't think there actually will be a traditional universal cure like people think, universal as in it works for everyone 100%. Like it's not going to be a potion, lotion, injection or a pill, at least not in our lifetimes, or while most of us are still young. I think the closest thing we will have to a cure that can bring an NW7 to as close to an NW1 as possible will be advancement of hair transplants, like for example regenerated follicular primordium. Even then, you'd need to have money to go through with that, and we all know hair transplant's can appear unnatural even if the best hair transplant doctor does it.

I work with a lot of celebrities..

and i am telling you there is no shortage of women who throw themselves at them even ugly ones.

where i live yes i see ugly men with stunning women all the time..they are usually wealthy.

Im not saying its not possible--i have had this debate from other side on here.

but its not like an average joe..I don't really see a lot of blue collar workers with much hotter wives.

I see professional men ( i.e. make a great living) with hotter wives.

I see a lot of women who find exceptional men charming--usually exceptional men rise to the top in their professions as well..

Harvey Weinstein--NOT a good looking man is married to a vey wealthy younger gorgeous woman who did not need his money.

But seriously--how many Harvey Weinsteins are working in a cubicle? none.
