Okay, so the cure is here. If we had not stopped the hair loss foundation, we would be trying to fund this right now. Their eyes would light up at the sight of millions of dollars on the website and would take this very seriously.

Anyways, I still have the domain name, it has a lot till it expires. Hellouser and the rest, want to give it one last shot at the foundation?

Well, you know I've already got the logo, lol.

Let's do it this way;

Purchase a cheap wordpress theme and fill it with information, all relevant to Dr. Lauster's team. And all this information has to be proofread, edited SEVERAL times. I've already been in contact with Beren Atac and Gerd Lindner, so I could get their attention again and give them a link to the site and see what they say. You'll need to pitch them an entire platform. I'm stupidly swamped at work right now, but should be able to commit to the project in a few weeks as I'll be moving into my condo and will save 2 hours of driving every day.

Some decent themes here:
http://themeforest.net/item/razor-cutting-edge-wordpress-theme/3822067
http://themeforest.net/item/klein-a-nittygritty-community-theme/5418518
http://themeforest.net/item/socialchef-social-recipe-wordpress-theme/6786673
http://themeforest.net/item/gone-buddypress-wordpress-theme/7256836

All of these feature a forum as well for people to interact with eachother. There's other themes which focus on non-profit:
http://themeforest.net/category/wordpress/nonprofit

However, no forum on those. Many options to choose from.

there is really no problem in regards to the forum, they all use bbpress which is a plugin that I have used in the past. So as far as functionality is concerned, we can just install the forum plugin on any theme. If we are going to be raising the money on the site itself, then we're going to be needing either a plugin or a theme with a build in one. In any case, we can just do one with well written content to pitch to him the idea. He might say no and we would just be wasting our time.

Here are the themes that I can get from previous purchases, let me know which one do you think would work best.

http://themeforest.net/item/wise-guys-responsive-multipurpose-wordpress/4114230

I can get others as well but let me know if one of these works else I go check out what else I have.

Wouldnt "The Cure" be something that would prevent your male pattern baldness before it would surface? This sounds more like a pretty expensive procedure similar to FUE, just with some benefits. Probably something that most of the people wouldnt be able to afford tho.

And what about all the people who are already bald? Just screw them?

Don't comments like that tell you that people don't give a shit about finding a cure?

After a couple of months most likely I will know how to make a website and can help out with making or/and maintaining one. I also might be able to handle the finances if they are difficult to process. Not to mention that I am willing to contribute some money (not that I have much). So I might be able to lend a hand when I have the time to.

I tried emailing Dr. Brett King several times on the topic of ruxolitinib and Androgenetic Alopecia after we found out it cured a guy with Alopecia Areata. I never got a response. It's amazing at how little of a shit they give about hair loss EVEN WHEN people are reaching out to them. Must be difficult for them reply to an email, right?

Can you really blame them for not wasting their time or associating with some of the lunatics on these forums (at least one member has suggested that they are willing to break into a lab) when there is actual work to be done?

what about people that will not be able to afford this "cure"?

They'll have to find a job and save their pennies like the rest of us.

Everyone sees the cure differently I guess. You see it as this procedure, I see it more like something that would prevent the need to splat chemicals on your head, taking hormonal drugs or undergoing costly transplants. This (if it ever happens) will probably be the best things to save money for in the future, but a cure? Come on....

The "cure" in your sense is unlikely to come any time soon and would possibly doom generations of people before it in misery till death. "This" on the other hand, is already a today thing and would technically benefit everybody.
Whatever you wanna call "this" and however you wanna play with definitions dude, "this" is the closest thing to what we need.

Just like I've been saying all along; NOBODY gives a fuck about men's health and hair loss! Here's another message from Dr. Gerd Lindner explaining they STILL don't have investors;

Translated via Google:

Dear participants, Dear Prospective our planned hair do which, today I want to thank you for your patience and continued interest and apologize for a long time notifications to the planned S tu were sent to hair cloning. Despite the positive course of continuously continuing research on the technology of hair cloning, were also great effort in negotiations with potential investors of the S tu the and still no definitive breakthrough can be achieved with the regulatory requirements. This means that a date for the launch of the S tu in this year unfortunately increasingly unlikely, but it is still not completely ruled out. In order to make the research content and organizational backgrounds future transparent in the near future a special website is launched with the opportunity to register for a newsletter. I'm going to send you the relevant information. I look forward to working with you soon, I hope. probably to start up a company and do the POC trial and stuff.

If they started trials in Japan, they could get a conditional commercial release within a few years. Japan doesnt require Phase I safety trials for stem cell based treatments.

At least they do realize the potential their technology holds to benefit millions of people with hair loss. I hope we can do something to speed up their pace to the final goal while we are chatting on the forums. Still curious to see how much breakthrough they have made to overcome the follicle size and possible survival issue though.

Not very familiar with the trial sh*t but it sounds like "starting phase 2 right away and limited commercializing it half way" to me. I guess it's my misunderstanding and it's too good to be true:unsure:. Nonetheless Japan is still the place to make it happen as soon as possible. I still think if we can be some sort of share holders our opinion may weigh more.

It's not too good to be true, thats Japans new regulation. There were many threads and news about this on BTT.

If that is the case, from the beginning of the trial to the initial commercialization, it could be merely 2 years, or even less. The thing is, how can we make that happen?
We still have to see whether the improvement to their technology is enough or not, if we can have doctor lindner etc to share some more detailed info that would be great.

what about people that will not be able to afford this "cure"?

Just go to jail, the state will pay for it!
http://news.yahoo.com/judge-orders-california-pay-inmates-sex-change-op-204338003.html
I know it has nothing to do with hair loss, it just pissed me of. I cant afford a cure, but these guys get a 100 000. Dollar sexchange ,with people's money who have worked their butt of. What did they do, rob a bank, raped somebody, killed somebody and they get free money to get a sexchange so they feel better in their own skin. Well I would feel better in my skin if I had hair, but I'm not getting free money.

If this thread was about fucking 'nofap' it'd have a lot more people in it showing interest. Amazing how fucking lazy and ignorant the hair loss community is even when the cure is right up their nose.

Furthermore, the hilarity needs to be pointed out how Cotsarelis was able to get investors for a treatment, but Lauster cant get investors for a CURE?! Yeah, tell me more how mens health isnt undermined.
