Firstly, apologies for making a lot of threads lately, I don't return to uni until the 13th and have been obsessing over hair due to boredom. But anyway I noticed that Rakitic has gone from looking like a NW3 to NW1.5 (give or take) just by changing up his hairstyle, so I felt the need to share this.

He doesn't seem to have had a hair transplant and I don't think he would be using fibers since that would be a foolish thing to do since he'll be playing in the wind/rain a lot. From the second pic it looks like somewhat of a comb over, but if you watch Barcelona play this season you'll see what I mean and how his hair manages to stay in place. I'm not all up to scratch on knowing all about different haircuts and whatnot, but he seems to have the corners blend the top and the sides together extremely well.

Does anyone have an idea what number guard it would be on the sides and what to ask the hairdresser for a similar haircut?

Also kinda off topic, but I find it very strange how pretty much all celebrities with receding hairlines never have the miniaturizing baby hairs along the hairline, it's always slick bald in the corners with a thick hairline.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but just watching Madrid against Barca earlier and noticed how good Rakatic's hair looked.

Reminds me of Christian Eriksen's hair, difference is Eriksen has apparently had a hair transplant and I'm almost certain Rakatic has not. It's not often you'll see someone who is around a NW3 put Justin Bieber to shame.

You can really see how much it has improved by watching him on TV, but here are some recent pictures from his instagram:

Yeah, it looks a lot better.

In fairness, in the before he did have literally the worst hair style that you can choose for a balding man.

That is true, especially with having it all pushed back. I'm just very surprised at how good his hair looks now, he looks close to a NW1.

with the illusion of NW1 he looks 10-15 years younger

crazy how even just a NW3 can take you from hero to zero real quick

Yeah I was watching the game today and barely even recognized him, he must be on some treatment or had a small hair transplant right? Either way that is a good hair style for the amount of recession he had, but it really seems like his temples have filled in recently since the first picture in this thread.

Also, good choice with that pic of him and Bieber lol they're probably both on finasteride.

Am I the only one who doesn´t really see a (positive) difference??? He is most likely Norwood 3A and it seems to me that his forehead in the latest pics has become bigger compared to the first one in the orange jersey. I think that his whole frontal area seems to have moved back, which makes the V-shape of the hairline less noticeable (hence the illusion that temples have regrown). Obviously the different hairstyle suits him much better. (Not hating here, just my opinion!)

Eriksen had a hair transplant and he's only 24? Damn.

Hair is such a crucial part of our looks. It's weird because I remember a year or two ago on a Barcelona forum I believe it was, someone was saying how Rakatic would look like Iniesta if he had his hair shorter (Iniesta is pretty much full on bald), and now it doesn't even look like he's got any hair loss whatso ever, good to know that there is always hope.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he had. If you google "Christian Eriksen hair transplant" you can find many discussions on other forums about it, one of them claimed he has asked him about it when he met him and Eriksen himself confirmed it, of course it could just be nonsense. Either way I'm convinced Eriksen has had a hair transplant as he was balding pretty aggressively 3-4 years ago. Also we know that Rooney has had a hair transplant as he's spoken publicly about it, he would've also been young at the time at around 25 or 26.

He seems to have always had a big forehead if you look at pictures of him from years ago, and also the very first pic I posted his forehead still looks big there even if you cover up the recession areas, but I can see where you're coming from. Also off topic but I really like that quote in your sig!

that first pic is goddam horrendous, makes me shudder. Then he just transforms into this really good looking guy with a decent haircut no homo. Even his long hair with recession didn't look too bad when it was dry. But that look when its all wet and sweaty, see through to the scalp, hairline exposed, tatty thin hairs all over the place. Makes anyone look like sh!t.

Can't say for certain if its a transplant. I am going to guess not because it seems his general hairline shape is the same. Perhaps he went conservative and just got good density with little change? Not a bad option if so, looks great.

Hair is life.

I'm almost certain he didn't get a transplant as he's been on TV constantly with the euros and such so he's had like a month break and that's it. It's strange because the haircut he has now makes him look exactly like he did around 6 years ago, maybe he's always had a very high hairline and just had a bad hairstyle for the past few years.
