It means you're thinning overall in large area of your head rather than just losing your temples / crown

Diffuse thinning is a general thinning in the male pattern baldness areas; the front, top, vertex, and crown. It's less common to see thinning on the sides and the very back of your head, but it does happen. Some guys have it really rough. Typically diffusers are the best responders to treatments (easier to grow hair where there is hair already).

It looks like male pattern baldness, like others have said. In that case, no, it won't grow back on its own without treatment. Wash your hair often for a month or 2 to be sure you're not losing because of lack of care; pray this is the case! If the thinning doesn't go away, it's male pattern baldness. I won't get into the treatments available, there's plenty of info on these forums.
