How come you switched over to avodart so quickly, you didn't give finasteride a chance to work. I just started finasteride and rogaine 3 months ago and they seem to be making a nice difference, so I wonder should I also switch or maybe wait.

in one of the pics there is some visible miniaturization on one side, can't remember which, but i also just went through another dutasteride shed(every 3 months) so am waiting for some of the hair to grow back again.

i agree that my top is not as thick as it could be but i don't think i have it in me to add minoxidil just to add some thickness to the top. as long as people can't easily tell that i'm balding, i don't really care. i'd be happy to have this hair for 20 years. 3 cheers for avodart.

mate well done. Certainly have the situation under control and your decision to take dutasteride has been vindicated with good results.
In my humble opinion Don't mess with minoxidil because you don't need it. Your hair looks fine and you don't need to mess with things which could ultimately make it worse.

yeah i would stay away from the minoxidil if i was you
you could use it and your hair would proboably benefit but its not worth it
i plan to slowely loose the minoxidil when i feel my dutasteride is kicking in

let the results speak for themselves. i am not worried at all about it. a lot of people who tell me to worry are taking non-fda approved pills like saw palmetto and curcumin in very high doses, which may also have nasty effects down the line.

Proscar in Australia

It's a shame I can not get Avodart here in Australia, the doctors won't prescribe it, nor will they even prescribe Proscar even though it is, actively the same as Propecia thus I am stuck with Propecia.

Doctors in Australia will prescribe Proscar for hairloss, but as with alot of things, you just have to find the right one. Don't give up just because one or two doctors said no.

Maybe I was lucky, but the first doctor I went to suguested Proscar to help save me money.

It's a real pain in the *** to go Doctor hopping. Although the cost of Propecia is murderous.
