I have the impression that receding is much, much more difficult to stop or reverse than diffuse thinning or vertex thinning.
Maybe that's because it's the temples area where DHT strikes first. That's usually the first balding area.

I couldn't possibly find a more "suitable" term than "disgusting". Look at him mate. Is that a usual BP ? I don't think so. The least I could say is it makes me feel unpleasant. curse male pattern baldness !

I disagree. Cambiasso's male pattern baldness might look disgusting because he obviously doesn't want to accept it. If he'd just buzzed or shaved it, he would look much better. Take a look:

I mean, c'mon, the 2nd pic is much better. I can't understand why he doesn't keep it buzzed.

Well , I've been on minoxidil 5% for 6 months and 4 days to be exact. Isn't it a little strange that I haven't even maintained the hair I had when I started ? Shedding has stopped 2 months ago but no regrowth here.

there's a long time lag in hair loss treatments. in other words, hair doesn't stat getting better the day you start treatments.

hair will continue to get WORSE for a period of anywhere between 2 and 9 months (some people say even more than a year), and then you will sart to see improvements from that point on wards. But the improvement will be relative to what your hair looks like after 6 months or whatever, not from when you started.

The people who run this sie say it'll take up to 2 years from starting treatment until hair is at its best. Unfortunately people want to change their regimen every 3 months when they have no miracle and this ultimately messes things up.

Who says I'm maintaining ? I'm absolutely sure my hairline has receded like 1.5 cm further since I started treatment , somehow I can't deny the fact that my hair looks thicker overall but that's not why I buy minoxidil.

that's why you HAVE to take pictures when you start and then every 2-3 months from then on...in the same light conditions, same hair length, same angle. That way there is no guessing.

You're right. He doesn't wanna accept it. I can understand it because he had awesome hair in the past. But the way he fixes what's left of his hair now makes it look a lot worse. Looking at his male pattern baldness makes me think that mine isn't really that bad. The poor is even younger than me !

I thank god for having found this forum when I started my regimen , because otherwise I might have stopped treatments months ago.
I hear most people here say you start to see improvements immediately after the shedding phase is over , that's 100 days. Where did you see the 1-2 years mark ?
Other than that , I can easily imagine anyone who doesn't know this quitting treatments after they're scared with the initial shedding.

I remember very well how my hair line was before starting six months ago. I haven't recovered the hair I shed yet ( not too much) .
I haven't taken pictures because I didn't think I'd posting on a hair loss forum by now.
Let me get this right. There's a 100 days Telogen phase when shedding happens , followed by a 90 days rest phase when hair follicles are dormant , then they start to regrow. If that's right , I should be on the verge of seeing some real results because I'm hitting the 190 days mark in 3 days , lol.
