Just a question on taking finasteride more than once a day

Ok, so finasteride has a relatively short half-life...does this mean that when that period is over no more DHT will be blocked?
So I was thinking( I might sound like a noob),If i split my daily dosage into 2 or 3 pieces, I can get a more steady DHT "inhibitance". :whistle:
I take 5 mg daily, and 1 mg is almost the same percentage of "inhibitance", so I could cut and take it more than once a day...

Stick with 1mg a day or 1.25 if you are splitting proscar. The optimal dose is 1mg a day according to all the trials done. I can't see any benefit to splitting it up over the course of a day. This has been discussed quite a bit so if you feel the need, do a search and you will find more information on it.

The half-life of finasteride has nothing to do with it's effectiveness. It reduces DHT by "x" percentage shortly after ingestion and it is the slow regeneration of the 5ar enzyme, which binds with testosterone to create DHT, that keeps your DHT levels low for several days before slowly climbing back up. It's doubtful that taking finasteride more than once per day will have any added benefit.
