http://puretechhealth.com/reports-presentations/974-puretech-health-trading-statement

"Follica, an affiliate of PureTech Health developing an innovative platform to address androgenetic alopecia, has made additional progress toward the initiation of the RAIN pivotal study in androgenetic alopecia as well as the identification and testing of next-generation, proprietary compounds based on the Group’s intellectual property. The Follica RAIN pivotal study is expected to commence following the completion of an ongoing optimisation study"

So they have started their optimization study in the first half of 2018 as promised.

"Follica secured $11.8 million in financing from PureTech Health and LightHouse Capital Partners"

They got some more money, so thats good.

Under the "Upcoming Milestones" which goes on to say whats going to happen in the next 12 months however Follica is not mentioned. I'm assuming they do not know how long the optimization study will last, thus can not predict when they can start their pivotal trial, or at least did not want to commit on paper.

edit:The date of the article is actually 2/20/18

what does that mean? another 10 years?

It means the clock is ticking for all the crybaby fucks out there.

This news is the bee's butt-fuckin' knees.

You can say whatever you like, but the reality is that a treatment that can grow new hair is close and this is it. We don't know that Shiseido will be able to provide much for meaningful regrowth yet and it will be a while before Tsuji (and his colossally expensive) cell therapy is around.

All the little b****s that piss, whine, moan and cry and look for every excuse to do so can keep at it, because my mug is sitting right here on the counter to catch those tears and devour them.

Doesn't matter if it's the team you're cheering for, doesn't matter if you think anything that provides less than f*****g sea otter density is unacceptable, and it doesn't matter what else you say: The rest of us in the land of the sane welcome such an option, will use it, and get the f*** on with our lives.

That won't stop some of you from sitting on these forums being miserable though. And I can't wait for that day because the amount of salt I'll be able to mine out of you all will be enough to supply every fast food chain until the end of time.

Until then, keep on praying to Brotzu

Glad to see Follica is still on track and doing well. I’m the most excited for this treatment because it is aimed at providing regrowth. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Follica is aiming for an early 2019 commercial release?

I talked to my dermatologist on monday. Its a big office in Dallas. I asked them if they heard of anything upcoming for hair loss.
She said no and tried to push PRP. Not saying that they should know for sure, but if this was imminent then it would make sense they had read about it or something, right? Do new products just show up at clinics doorsteps without notice?

There is no confirmation on that, but ideally yeah. The optimization trial I believe is counted towards the pivotal trial. So i dont think it would be a full year after the optimization trial is done. But this all mostly theories. This April I think we should have more news from Puretech. So we will find out more hopefully then.

here it is written about "Global Androgenic Alopecia Drug Market Outlook 2018". In the list there is SWITCH Biotech LLC, which is in the follica patents, but nothing is written about the very follica or puretech.
Does anyone have any additional information about SWITCH Biotech?

That is just great. There are companies that are not known in the internet forums and are quite advanced. It's great.

Amen. Love your work man. So many of these soon to be Norwood 6 b****s come across like they are “entitled” to a 100% solution TOMORROW.

I feel a tiny bit mean saying that but mate that hangingman bugger is a real kill joy.

I remember sitting in my car about 8(ish) years ago googling alternatives to that dick shriveling concoction that is meant to save your hair propecia and found Intercytex.

I was so joyous. They were so close. Then to my misery they died.

Back then they were it. But today there are many and more solutions keep popping up. It’s good times.

So to all the young new readers... every new day is a day closer than we’ve ever been before. Heck we live in a world where people are hacking their own DNA so something might happen tomorrow for all any of us know.

Thanks for the positive news poster.

I’m balding and have been for about 10 years. I have had a hairtransplant and have even been lucky enough to have been on a trial for a non released drug.

If you google Jerry Cooley for a bit you might be able to work out what drug.

I tried finasteride and it destroyed my libido, I had dizzy spells and my semen was watery. Not awesome.

If this turned out to be less systemic and I didn’t get any noticeable sides I’d be happy.

what about Minoxidil? I think you will help Follica, if they do not delay the release
