Rather than kicking gunner while he's down, I think people kick him because they want him to get up.

Not all. I think many enjoy insulting him, while others join in because of the "dog pile" effect.

I just can't believe some of the people on this site, directing their hate at Gunner. He doesn't deserve it, he's not a bad guy!! He's just another sad individual trying to deal with this vicious and unforgiving problem, sometimes through telling funny stories.

To those that are trying to help Gunner, why not simply give up? No amount of advice is going to penetrate his brain. It's obvious that he has to arrive at these conclusions on his own accord. Sometimes certain people can't be helped, no matter how much you want to help them.

But if you still feel the need to help him, tell these gunner-haters to shut the f*** up. Their attack posts certainly aren't helping.

Personally, I think Gunner kicks ***. Yes, his postings can be dark and depressing and shamelessly self-effacing, and negative, but they are usually entertaining. He can sometimes speak with a sharp tongue, so what, who here amongst us has not?

There are times when we all have made postings seeking empathy, and sometimes we have posted with a sharp touche to a point we disagree with. The first should not trump the second?

Besides, a post is just a post, whether it be from Gunner or whomever. If you don't like it, ignore it and move on. It's a free country, live and let live.
