Do we know anything yet on how well it might work? An article said this which made me think they must have seen some kind of result with hair unless no one reported that. They also had some results in vitro testing in humans they said. There must be concrete real human results from this already unless they just havent shared that.

'Setipiprant had previously been studied as a potential allergic inflammation treatment and had undergone eight clinical trials, including a Phase III study in seasonal allergic rhinitis patients and a Phase II proof of concept study in asthma patients, resulting in a safety database of more than 1,000 patients.'

There's about 50 guys that are going to be trying out Setipiprant way before you hear anything from Kythera about efficacy. I'm one of them ;)

Didn't Cots basically say awhile ago that it would be awhile before they figured out how to apply his research? I'm skeptical that Kythera bought the rights so they could offer a treatment that's based on "groundbreaking research" despite it not having much of an effect.

Yeah, years ago though... 3 years ago he said this on the topic of PGD2 inhibitors;

'Follica's treatment is very close to a release, if everything goes smoothly, it's possible we'll have something in 2-5 years'

Here's the original video:

It is now, but the interesting part is that Cots had known the types already and started working with Kythera shortly after, apparently Kythera's work with Setipiprant along with Cotsarelis has been in the works for 2 years.

Hmm, if Kythera's work with Set and Cots have been in the works for 2 years, why was it announced in January that Kythera purchased the rights to Set?

By the way, the hairs at Week 11 look thick.

I wonder what drives Cots. He has great hair. Maybe he is already sampling his products.

I read in an article years ago that Cotsdecided to go into dermatology because his brother experienced severe acne growing up. He was quoted, saying that his brother had a hard time dealing with acne and experienced self esteem issues.

Good thing he wasn't balding instead.

I was thinking about that also , You're right but he may doesn't suffer from male pattern baldness .

But I believe he knows more than others , I just can pray the setip group buy would work and people get some regrowth.

Then I would try it for sure. they were about 50 persons so I think its enough to see if it works or not.

My hope is really really high about setip , I just don't know about dosage and also purity of black market .

He's also suffering from male pattern baldness. He's balding at the crown, you only can see it from the back, like it shows in the picture Armando posted.

Oh man if it works, even against seborrheic dermatitis only, it'll be the best year of my life.

Yes Vlatch , Just wait and see , I think we would hear about the result in the next 3-6 months , as soon as they start the treatment they would let us know ,. Some of them would try the oral form and some topical I guess , but I believe in those guys because they dedicated their money to be the first one in world to try it , So they would track their result and we can figure at least SOMETHING out , I do believe steip is more promising than the other product we have like follicept and etc. my hope
is high about that , So whats your experience with dutasteride , did you get any regrowth ?

I'm a diffuse thinner with a NW1-1.5 hairline but a very thin top and a thin vertex.
I've had some regrowth but on the hairline, nothing spectacular and not that I really needed it here, but enough to make me certain the treatment was working. I don't know if I've had regrowth or some thickening on the top and vertex, maybe but nothing cosmetically visible, well I'm not below baseline at least.

What bothers me is now the constant inflammation on my scalp (seborrheic dermatitis that I've had for more than ten years), which doesn't go away no matter what shampoo or lotion I use, and believe me I've tried it all (even oral ketoconazole, a bad experience).

This is -partly- what interests me with setipiprant, pgd2 apparently plays a huge role in sebum production, so if it could help with inflammation and male pattern baldness, that would be great. Also looking forward to CB-03-01 for that matter. I'd also like not to take dutasteride during my whole life.
