Gotta say i've been on .5 finasteride for around about a week now, feel absolutely fine like it's just another supplement, gotta say I had liiiike tiny tiny ball ache for a few hours one of the days so I assume that's the finasteride doing it's job like everyone sais here. Other than that nothing, no watery semen or any problems at all fingers crossed it stays this way.

If they guy saying he doesn't believe in finasteride making you infertile, why does he want to stop taking the stuff when trying for kids?? To avoid his partner having contact with DHT? Don't believe a word...

I took Propecia of my own free will, but now I wish I hadn't, I stopped the drug after about a month, after about 2 weeks my body "crashed" and I suffered these side effects

Joint/Muscle Pains and Numbness
Numbness in the Genital area
Back Pains
Absolutely zero libido (Any female I found attractive beforehand was nothing now)
Erectile Disfunction (Couldn't get it up no matter how hard I tried)

I had them for about 2 weeks but my god, these were some of the most awful weeks ever and I've never felt so bad in my entire life.

How is this drug even on the market for us to entertain the idea of using it i'll never know.

I realise not everyone has this with Propecia, but me personally it was hell, fortunately i seem to be back to near 100% after about another 2 weeks.

Good luck to everyone using Propecia and even more good luck to people suffering the after effects.

Wow , I have been on finasteride since Dec '10 and haven't really had any sides except maybe a slight decrease in sex drive which doesn't bother me anyways. I really think people freak themselves out and almost start to look for sides. I would try it back up again at least for a few months to see if the sides go away.

Sorry but these sides were very real and I didn't "freak myself out" into having them. I honestly felt like i would trade every hair on my head just to feel like I did pre-finasteride and there is absolutely no way in hell i will ever be within 10 feet of that poison again.

I'm happy for you that Propecia is working and you have pretty much no side effects, i really hope it stays that way.

STOP trying to defend finasteride because you are scared yourself. Visit the 'dealing with side effects' section and you will see that finasteride has been ruining lives for years and years.

I agree with Joe, before this I was desperate to keep my hair but now I'd rather lose every hair on my head than go through that again

Fortunatly about 3 weeks after my body has crashed I'd back to a pre-finasteride state, some people aren't so lucky.

I experienced the sides waking up one morning, i could tell something was wrong, nothing felt right, there was no p**rn or sex involved anywhere, where i once would think of sex constantly and have erections there was only "?", where i would see very attractive women around and i'd usually think "Damn she is gorgeous" there was only "?", watching a p**rn film i had absolutely no interest in what was going on in it at all, again only "?".

While that sucks and I'm glad you recovered, finasteride only makes people with high DHT levels more normal. It's not normal to jerk off to p**rn everyday and eyefuck every girl you see. Those dudes you see with N0 hairlines, clear skin, no body hair, etc. don't do that sh*t.

As a side note, I noticed my erectile function drop pretty much overnight years before I ever used finasteride. It's called getting mature and being able to last more than 1 minute in bed.

High levels of DHT are not the cause of male pattern baldness, it's your genetic predisposition which makes your follicles sensitive to the DHT. I have a friend with a ridiculously full head of hair who had more facial hair than I imagine I will ever have in my life at the age of 15. And he's fully caucasian. If your hair was genetically programmed to fall out from birth, then it will eventually, regardless of your DHT situation.

Are you saying Link's is lying?

I am literally in disbelief that there are still people on these forums that defend finasteride when over the last year it has became SO OBVIOUS that Merck are keeping a big secret.

I think for most people the drug is safe, in terms of the chances of developing permanent side effects. The 3% figure of side effects ON the drug is complete bullshit though and everyone knows it.

You are right though, it's not normal to eyefuck girls all the time. Before i took finasteride i was hyper sexual and i can never remember getting erections off seeing girls in the street. Put one in my bed though, and i would go 5-10 rounds.

Living a life without a partner can be considered sad and lonely regardless of a person's sex drive. Women aren't really going to be interested in being with a man with no passion/ libido.
