If only more bald men had the balls to call out society for being disgusting assholes towards baldness.

We all know the type.

Typical faggy looking. Real nice hair and there hand always seems to gravitate to comb there hair when we pass by?

1. Afaik first time Louie so obviously admitted how hairloss bothers him on kind of serious and personal level. He tries to put it in joke but we see it..
Hes married,semi old,very famous,very charismatic,very funny,quite rich? Yet he cares very much.
So much for its just hair, focus on other aspects of your life.

Im actually convinced his pesimistic and sarcastic view of life and humor is direct product of his hairloss.
If you suffer from major hairloss you stop wearing the purple glasses and see the society in real colours. You are not intoxicated with the pleasuring feelings, emotions and experiences good looks provide you in this society in all aspects of life. Major part of society has got this and they think life is here for them to be happy and pleasuring and its their personality and skills that entittles them to be happy. You have to go through real appareance shock to wake you up.
Throw Norwood 7 at them and see what happens or take the serious skin burn victims...

2. You can clearly see how the audience and conan is not responsive to what he says about hairloss. Conan just puts his fake laugh on extra level. More like few cringe laughs from audience and you can feel the awkwardness of the situation. Very good example how serious talk about hairloss impact publicly is considered kind of social faux pais. Eventho Louie puts it in funny and comfortable way. Just watch it what would happen if he said with serious face that he is very deppresed about his hairloss and wants his hair back and would give up everything for it.

this is interesting. You would think that comedians are those who can better face hairloss because they know how to laugh about it. It could actually be the other way around: they become comedians because they need to lash out!

He doesn't care, he has built a huge career while being bald, and was nobody when he had his hair. It's irrelevant to him, you are projecting your own insecurities which is affecting your perception of the interview. To say hairloss is the main factor in him being pessimistic and sarcastic is one of the stupidest things i've heard on this forum. Lookup Anthony Jeselnik tall young NW1 comedian who has much darker humor. Think you need to seek some psychological help like many on here.

Did what? Any normal person reading these forums would quickly identify many posters as mentally ill (BDD), some more than others.

I don't think you actually know what BDD is.

Look up the definition.

BDD is a body-image disorder characterized by persistent and intrusive preoccupations with an imagined or slight defect in one's appearance.

Damn, I can't believe Jason Alexander ended up wearing a hair piece.

He clearly had BDD, no change whatsoever, he looked exactly the same without hair.

He didn't let it stop him becoming a huge star, if he had BDD he would have had the hair piece on from day one.
Nothing wrong with trying to look better, getting tan or losing weight ,working out, getting teeth whitened, hair transplant etc. Im talking about the people who give up or let hairloss destroy their confidence or self esteem.

What's your point?

My looks weren't all about my hair obviously, yet I was still devastated.

Have some empathy.

Yes but you still were able to get women, so your reaction was probably out of proportion, that's my point. Becoming hyper sensitive to anything about hairloss is a problem. Does it change how you look, yes but so does ageing are you going to be devastated ever year you grow older? You are tall, attractive and intelligent and a white male, you are already ahead of 90% of the world population. Seems a bit woe is me.

Devastation is a broad term.
Albeit the term is generally defined as great ruin or destruction,
we often see it interchangeably used to imply a state of mental/emotional duress or physical collapse,

It functions well to dramatically convey an individual's compounded circumstantial misfortune(s)
in and of him/herself subjectively and the relatively binary impact of those around him/her.

EXAMPLE 1:Not only am I emotionally devastated by my hair loss I am also at a real social disadvantage;
my girlfriend told me last night that she hardly recognizes because of how much male pattern baldness has devastated my looks.
Should I conclude that this means she no longer finds me attractive either? Now I am completely devastated.

We can also use the term rhetorically to reinforce/reiterate a generally accepted social truth.

EXAMPLE 2: I once knew of a person who quit his job working at an infirmary
because he became hopelessly devastated by the general devastation
one typically observes while working in an environment forever synonymous with illness and devastation.
