I think I was experiencing gyno side effects from 1 mg of finasteride, and now at .25mg I do not have any symptoms. I hope it works out and if it does I will try to go up to .5 mg. At one point I tried doing 1 mg again, but started feeling side effects within 3 days. I have now been taking .25 mg for about 2 weeks and I still dont feel any gyno symptoms.

Took 3 weeks for me to develop gyno symptoms. 3 weeks of hope and then... now I know I am stuffed. I hope 0.25mg works out ok for you... I just hope that I didn't spend all this money only to keep losing hair and now breasts... talk about cruel.

I have lowered my dosage down to .25mg from 1mg after developing weird sides after nine months starting yesterday. I will let you know in a couple of weeks.

For those who are interested, here is an update: I have been on .20 finasteride EOD for a little over 2 months. (Note: 1 mg/day (Propecia) for 10 days killed my sex drive and any ability to achieve erection. This lasted about 2 weeks and it was not in my head.) Regarding my current regimen, while achieving erections is not as surefire as it was before - most often, feels slightly softer - I can still achieve erections and perform with my gf on a consistent basis.

I hope my experience, and those of many others on this forum, will help dispel rumors that sides on 1 mg/day will ALWAYS be felt at lowered dosages.
