I have been wondering about this since I read that article out of the University of Wisconsin. My hairloss has progressed slowly, but about a decade ago my dermatologist recommended a spa that used dome sort of electrical stimulation. He claimed it to have similar results as finasteride, but it was expensive and time consuming. I imagine it was something similar to this: http://shop.biophysica.com/articles/285.php

Does anybody think using a T.E.N.S. device on the scalp is risky or even worthwhile? Thinking about testing on one side of my receding hairline. I do use a high frequency device and I feel it improved the texture of my existing hair.

I finally starting using the Violet Ray device that I purchased a year ago. I began three days ago. I took some before-pics. and I'll post an update in a few months.

they said this in one of the interviews linked earlier in the thread:

"Hair loss is an example of this. In common hair loss a hormonal imbalance in the body leads to the inactivation of normal hair growth, leading to hair follicle shrinkage and eventually hair loss. Mane Biotech is developing technology which overrides this hormonal imbalance using precise, non-invasive stimuli, to kick start hair growth back to normal."

Hormonal imbalance?
