Manletics, Gymcelling, And The Perception Of Height

As I believe has been established on these boards, I am a 5'6" manlet...maybe 5'6.5" at most, as my height has occasionally been measured as 5'7". I'm also a fairly well muscled gymcell

Several months back, I was partnered up with this chick in my class for some hands on stuff (I'm in a program of study in the medical field), and in order to properly use a certain instrument on an individual, it was necessary to know the height of the person you were working with. I had just done the exercise on her, and adjusted it for her height, 5'5" Now it was her turn to perform it on me.

She goes "I need to adjust this because you're kind of tall"
I go "I'm 5'6"
She looks at me "What? No...You're tall"

Literally I am on eye level with this chick every time we interact


Fast forward to just recently:

I am partnered up with this dude, and we are using the same device. He's 5'11". He's adjusting it for me, and he goes, dead serious:
"now you and I are about the same height, right?"
"Dude, what? I'm 5'6"
...."no...?"
Some girls nearby are like "wait *KJ*, you're 5'6"?...no...." These are chicks I am on eye level with, literally acting f*****g incredulous to this information

What is up with this? I know some on here like to talk sh*t about gymcelling and its compensatory patheticness, but could it be that the physical presence of my musculature creates some kind of height illusion to people? Or something else? It seems pretty off to me to misjudge a short person as a tall one

People think you are tall. It's definitely a good thing. Plus at that height you have a good opportunity to build a great physique.

Seriously though, if there is one thing mammals respect, it's size, and I guess it comes in many forms, gymcelling might be an effective compensatory strategy for lack of height after all. Getting some size in another way.

No, I have always stood by my claims that height is overrated. There is still a positive with his height. He mentioned he loves working out and especially for bodybuilding you can have an insane physique at that height.

none of us can appreciate what t feels like to short if we have always been tall/average

same goes for fullheads never experiencing hair loss

I saw a guy at the mall the other day. Must have been 5'6" probably above average looks, same kind of hair as Fred and was with a woman who was easily 5'10" they were walking and holding hands.
