Hey, I have been using 5% minoxidil at my temples 2x times a day, for about 4 months now. There has been no new hairs grown, is it just because im a non responder? Or does it take more time? Or is it because i put in my 2% spironolactone, and then add the minoxidil 1 minut later? Does the spironolactone affect the minoxidil?

ur supposed to put the minoxidil on first
i think the coating of spironolactone may block the minoxidil but not visa versa

I would personally allow the minoxidil to dry before adding the spironolactone. Do a search for spironolactone and you will find users that use both. I have used tricomin, folligen spray and folligen lotion and it is recommened that you use minoxidil first and allow it to dry before adding them.

Well, dr. Lee told me that when using the 2% version, it should be used first. And the 5% should be used after minoxidil.

#1. What else are you using besides spironolactone and minoxidil?
#2. Are you "maintaing you temples" atleast?

then ask dr. lee what the appropriate time between applications should be, that might be a factor.

I apply minoxidil first. Apparantly spironolactone is able to dissolve into scalp easier or something like that...correct me if im wrong, its something ive read before....

Yea I do believe im maintaining
Okay, if your maintaining then that is good. Keep doing what your doing and in another month or 2, if you haven't really had much growth then you might want to try Dr. Lee's 15% minoxidil on your temples. I use it and it has grown what 5% fails to do. :)
