Hey.

I'm in my 20's, have been losing my hair for the past 6 years. Diffuse thinner with receded hairline and M shape.

Started Propecia 3 years ago, suffered severe hyperandrogenicity, as a result:
- Broke out in acne all over face and scalp.
- Grew more body hair
- Oiler skin
- Alot hornier

Gave up after 2 months.

Started Dutasteride 1 year ago, suffered hyperandrogencitity AGAIN. Thats it packed my bags after 2 weeks of dutasteride and whinged like a b@tch.

At the current, the top is shocking, it's becoming more and more aggressive. So heres my dilemma.

I cant use Propecia or dutasteride (it makes it WAY WAY WAY WAY WAYYY WORSE)

Note: minoxidil works wonders on me.

I haven't been losing my hair long, I'm still young.. but its getting really aggressive.

try topical flutamide 2%...

my bodyhair stoped growing ... dry skin/scalp
less horny ... more calm

it maybe can do the thrick for you ?

you can always try...

order the genhair 2% flutamide, or buy some generic flutamide tabs and disolve in your minoxidil or make your own flutamide topical...

i use only half dose , do avoid sides , still no sides yet so far...
the dates i started using my products is in my regime below...

i got no hairloss, hair seems to come dencer... beardgrow is slowed down
also my bodyhairgrow is slowed down... no oily skin anymore , seems good...

i use halfdose sinds i use other stuff 2 , but when i added fluta , is when i saw my oily skin past away.... my bodyhair slowed down, even my beard slow down on growth , before i had to shave every day , sometimes 2x day , it grows to fast , but with fluta in my regime i can waith now 2 to 3 days before shaving...

if your not using anything other like duta or fina , you can use full dose , or start half dose and slowly go to the recommeded 1ml 2x day ....

if you see sides, just slow down the dose again.... dont stop , just lower the dose , and it will go away... remember the workingtime of fluta is 8 hours... so i think best to do 2x a day , (morning, evening) but you can only use half (0,5ml) and have effect

Empire, did you research and found nothing that would stop the hyperandrogencitity, except getting off the Propecia and Dutasteride?

Seems there should be something to counter hyperandrogencitity.

I never have time to research but I just found this so I copied and paste: :)

Question:

What exactly is reflex hyperandrogenicity and what causes it? Is it when the androgen receptors become more sensitive to DHT or is it an increase in overall testosterone that negatively impacts the follicles. Also, should a topical antiandrogen counter this effect?

Dr Proctor Answers:
Reflex hyperandrogenicity is caused by a combination of increased testosterone and increased tissue sensitivity to male sex hormones ( androgens ). The latter is cause at least partially by an increase in the numbers of androgen receptors. Whether the receptors also get more sensitive is not clear, but seems likely.

Reflex hyperandrogenicity is proportional to the strength of an antiandrogen. It limits the use of antiandrogens in (e.g.) treatment of prostate cancer and is why most such patients get castrated.

Because the action of Finasteride is mostly limited to tissues where type-2 5-AR is the important source of androgenic activity, it elicits less reflex hyperandrogenicity than other antiandrogens when used to treat hair loss or prostate enlargement. So this is usually not limiting in hair loss-treatment, at least in the short run. It may even help minimize side-effects such as libido decrease during the use iof finasteride for hair loss. Whether this is also true for Dutasteride ( which blocks both type-1 and type-2 5 Alphareductases ) is not clear yet. And yes, topical antiandrogens such as spironolactone, which do not elicit the increase in testosterone, are likely helpful.
