First of all, thanks for the compliment on my hair. Second, yeah I think my gyno got a little worse (I’ve had gyno for years). But I’ve also gained weight so I’m not sure if it’s finasteride or the weight gain. Either way, I’m gonna start hitting the gym again soon.

It honestly has not been improving lol. Maintaining, maybe. But thanks, I appreciate the support bro.

Got back from being out all day n was disheartened to look in the mirror at the back of my head. I had a line of scalp going straight through my combover. Although it was as obvious as the pic of me pulling my hair back, it was still a noticeable line of scalp.

I haven’t shampooed my hair (helps with styling) in a few days so it’s greasy so hopefully that played in part.

Also I know I’m in dire need for a haircut. I have one scheduled soon. I’ve been very busy and I hate getting my hair cut lol.

The front is still holding up although it is definitely a lot thinner in my nw2 region

What do you guys think? Do you think the average person wouldn’t notice me as “balding”. Again, it looks worse in the mirror.

I don't think so. Normies only consider people balding when you have an obvious bald patch on your crown, or when your hairline is NW3+. You just have slightly thin hair according to them, it looks good.

What do you guys rate my hairline? About a nw2? It hasn’t changed that much, but that little hole in the hairline that the arrow points to has gotten worse over the last year...

I’ve attached an older pic as well (it’s the one with the same angle but without the arrow, it’s from November). Should I be worried about this?

I’m not sure if finasteride has worked. I know that my hair feels a lot thinner than before but it deteriorated very quickly shortly after getting on finasteride. I’m not sure if it’s still going at the same rate. It might have slowed down after a few months.

I’ve been on it for about 13 months and I’m turning 23 in July. I encourage you to check out my earlier posts in this thread n check it out for yourself.

Ok everyone, I got a haircut. This is what it looks like with NO toppik or styling products. Let me know what you guys think. Obviously the crown and diffuse thinning is still there, but I think when I put in toppik n some hairspray covers it well.

Let me know what you think about my over 1 year mark on finasteride. I believe I’m still losing hair so I plan on switching to dutasteride

Thx bro. What’s happened with me, is that the thinning has spread. Before I just had thinning in one spot of the crown but now I’m diffused and i have more area of scalp showing, even if it’s not showing much more.

I feel your pain... I can’t ever go out with my hair wet. If it starts to rain I panic.

I jumped to Dutasteride 0.5 mg everyday and i can say it was a huge qualitative shift from all levels !!
Regrowth on hairline and crown and The inflammation with itching have been completely eliminated
So good luck if u think about Dutasteride

I do remember you! How’s everything going now with your hair? How long have you been on finasteride/dutasteride? Lastly, any side effect differences going from finasteride to dutasteride?

Everything went well, i can see a lot of little hairs on hairline and my crown is a lot much healthier with regrowth also without any kind of inflammation or itch and my scalp is not oily anymore like before while on finasteride
The sides are watery semen and puffy nipples But I can tolerate the side effects for my hair !!
I have been on dutasteride for 6 months now
I think everyone should gave dutasteride a try cuz finasteride is useless for a lot of people

Geez if that's your hair when wet then you don't have much to worry about, stick with finasteride or jump on to dutasteride and you should be fine. I just had the same sides as finasteride, slightly lower libido, less semen volume...nothing else, so maybe think about making the switch and up your chances of maintaining your hair like that for years to come. It's not in a bad state at all.

Thx bro. My hair looks worse wet in person lol. I’ll try to get some pics that show the major damage. But I guess everyone’s looks worse in person so photos are still justifiable.

Were you having sides on finasteride as well or just dutasteride?

Went back in my thread and found some wet pics parted in the middle, so I tried to replicate them. They’re labeled by date in the photos.

PLEASE let me know if you see that my crown/overall density is noticeably thinner. My hair was longer in the January photos.

Keep in mind these photos are 7 months apart.
