is shedding not a good thing?
not good!! im thinking of giving dutastride a try myself but keep reading horror stories. Not when its going on for years and only miniaturises and hair continues to thin out and recede.

Man I am always at a loss when I see people on crazy aggressive regimens who are still losing hair. Explanations I can think of are that the loss is just extremely, extremely aggressive, or maybe the individual's follicles are sensitive to a something other than DHT
Is 1mg dutasteride the highest dosage you tried? I know some guys go up to 2.5mg....
Cheers for the response, yes it makes no sense. I need a turnaround from somewhere.
I would be interested to see what 2.5mg a day does although that would be £150 a month for that alone which is out of my capabilities at the moment.
New pics?Nothing works, I'm at my wits end here. I've added hydrocortisone cream to see if that makes any difference and a sebum scalp clearing shampoo. I've really had f*****g enough of this, not in a good place.
I've added a10% minoxidil and finasteride mix which should be here soon and I'm thinking of throwing oral spironolactone and oral minoxidil at it but I'm still looking for someone who has reversed loss like mine.
spironolactone is a really weak anti androgen. Also considering how long you've been fighting hair loss I would say the meds have definitely slowed your loss down! I too have had no maintenance or regrowth with treatments.. Although when I did start Androcur I believe my hairloss has slowed down a little bit.Nothing works, I'm at my wits end here. Any Update? An update, hair continuing to miniaturise. I have dropped everything apart from 0.5mg dutasteride (daily) + regenepure DR (twice a week)
Starting a strong weekly dermaroller, dermapen routine - 15mins once a week
10% morr f minxo/finasteride mix once a day on the other days in the evening.
Frustrating because for all the work I've put into this I feel that I'm almost there in sorting this out,
find the right angle and I can reverse this...More than deserved for everything I've put into this.
Lets see what happens
it's really disheartening in 3 years not to see results
Have you tried topical estrogen or RU?
It’s worth a try if nothing else works. Is your hair loss diffuse or temple recession? No I haven't. thanks
I guess RU could be next if this doesn't work although I haven't seen many RU results with good photos
Diffuse and recession at hairline and templesIt’s worth a try if nothing else works. Is your hair loss diffuse or temple recession?
