I am not sure but it seems like an overkill....

15% minoxidil?
spironolactone 4 times a day?
SAW PALMETO ?
I heard that more then 25mg of zinc was bad for your system....and you are drinking it 3x...

Drop it, the recommended dosage for zinc is 15mg a day, you are taking 300 mg!!! That is way too much. Too much Zinc can also harm your hair, though I am not sure what exactly it does!

the minoxidil, the spironolactone, and the nizoral are the only good things in your regimen. the rest won't do you any good. Just look at my regimen and use the topical stuff that you can get.

GNC hair vitamins-- ha! what a scam.

I think CCS must have skimmed over your finasteride, because that's something that will definately work.

Finasteride and minoxidil are all you need to start with (just finasteride would be best to start with actually)

Add the nizoral shampoo if you like the way it leaves your hair. It has a small benefit. However people act like you have to use this shampoo, but the only reason it's in the "Big 3" is because it's convenient - a pill, a topical, and a shampoo, not because it's one of the top three treatments.

For me it dries out my hair far too much if I use it more than once a week or so, and I'm thinking of dropping it completely. There's no use keeping your hair if it looks awfully thin and wispy.

Some spironolactone could be helpful, too.

freaking everyone should be on finasteride, sure there are some exceptions, but if you want to actually regrow, get on finasteride

everything else is almost shits and giggles IMHO

there is still too much to know about dutasteride and male pattern baldness... i mean, some people it seems experience increase recession with increased crown regrowth...

there is no doubt it is a more powerful drug of the two in the same class, just don't have the right dosage for male pattern baldness known, also longterm effects on younger males like finasteride

they don't experience increased recession apparently. their crown and other hair thickens up so it makes the recessed areas in front appear thinner. i've never seen someone who claimed that dutasteride made their front worse actually post before and after dutasteride pics.

That is what you want to beleive.
I have a friend who switched from finasteride to dutasteride and his hair started receding while thickening up on the crown..he went back on finasteride.

lostwind,

please provide an explanation for how that could happen.

also please back up your claim that taking finasteride+dutasteride at the same time is bad for the liver.

I am not a scientist nor a doctor and I wouldnt know how that would occur.
But based on his head and what he told me thats what happened.

Do a google search and you will see that taking meds...any type of them are bad for your liver any type of meds...not just finasteride or dutasteride.

You seem so paranoid about your hair anyways....and it seems like you are in your own reality..and whatever you are doing YOU think is good.....and its the best..

anyhow..im not here to argue.. try to search "drug induced liver disease" on google... and you will see a huge back up... and you can also add "+ finasteride".

But who cares..you are wiling to take that risk to save your hair anyways.

Ciao

i've read all i need to read to discount your post. even if the drug induced liver disease happens, research indicates that it's reversible upon cessation of administration of that drug.

One guy posted his large amount of temple/hairline loss on this forum, i think it;s in the dutasteride forum under one of the "shedding" posts.

However, I'd say it just didn't work for him, i don't see why it woudl have caused the loss...

exactly felk. he prob would have shed more had it not been for dutasteride or maybe it was totally inffective. i dunno. but the first thing people blame is the drug.
