I cant side with you here (hair ba doom cha) Fred.

A guy like this can NOT expect results with an FUE.

Theres nothing to move. Then there are people with Androgenetic Alopecia or total Androgenetic Alopecia. Theres a lot of different possibilities.
I know you want to portray what you did as something heroic or a huge step in our live but really me and you did what we did for us. The more valiant thing would have been to live our lives bald without caring, but we cant. I wont say "I did it, you should to" without seeing the whole picture. I would say a good majority can achieve something but is that "something" worth it? In the end will it have bad results and end up with a head shave anyway?
.

Exactly, having to spend a small fortune to be forced to wear a grown out diffused head of hair is too much of a risk to take. My not getting a transplant is not by any means a lack of desire for a full head of hair, rather my knowing the odds. And I dont agree with fred that some hair is better than no hair. There is a threshold where the amount of loss is acceptable but anything underneath it isnt. For nw5-6 with below average donor a transplant can only take him so far but not cross over that threshold into an acceptable head of hair. Thank you swing for illustrating that distinction and not over simplifying it.

But that picture doesn't represent your cases. Swingline, you're a NW3, and uncomfortable man, you're a NW5.

NW7 with thin donors are very rare, I've not encountered many of them in my lifetime.

You shouldn't take one of the worst case of male pattern baldness and then tell that's the reason you can't have a successful hair transplant.

Swingline, I told you many times before you jumped for your hair transplant that you were probably making a mistake picking a virtually unknown surgeon. Now you think that your mediocre results prove that hair transplants are not worth it.

And uncomfortable man, you seem to believe that anyone that's going for a hair transplant always takes a major risk. This is not true when you pick a top surgeon.

If you do your homework, you can find state-of-the-art FUE at a very cheap price like I did. What I always say is, what else is there for us?

And I'll stand by my quote "some hair is always better than no hair". Even at the very last stages of my male pattern baldness, people still told me: "You're going to have a hair transplant? I don't understand where they will put the hairs, because I see hair on your head!" And I had maybe like 500 hairs diffusely left on my NW5 area.

So cover that slick NW5, even very thinly, and you win.

Actually I went for my free redo.... due to superstition with me I will NOT talk about it yet. But my fear should give some inclination on why Im worried. I will give more details in a couple months.

Anyway that pic is exactly like HALF the bald guys in my family. So honestly its a good pic for me to use as its pretty much what I know.
Again we live in entirely different countries so I dont know what its like over there but here that thin ring is pretty common.

Also I understand your some hair comment but what is some hair worth when everyone is just going to ask you "why dont you just shave it off".

I agree with Fred on this. A little hair is important especially when its shaved down. It makes the difference of framing your face.

I'd happily keep a diffuse head of hair with a hairline and shave it down to a zero guard. At that stage many people just think you're shaving it because you like the style.

When you have a hairline even if you are diffuse thinner, you can shave it with a 0 guard and no one will know any better

That's exactly what I do, and that's why I don't get rejected by girls so much anymore.

One, as you know, the buzzed looks very good on me, even better than when I grow my hair out, male pattern baldness or not.

Two, the girl always tells herself that I'm only shaving it down and that I could grow it out if I chose to do so.

This is the difference between my current self and my pre-transplant self.

Pre-transplant Fred: "sorry, we're too different", post-transplant Fred: "I love you".

This may be a detail but I had never heard "I love you" during the two years I was bald, and I had many relationships.

Women don't care about a guy with hair shaving it, because it's obvious he has hair, he's one of the privilidged, so he's not a bald loser to her.

Like some said here, it works even more in your favour, because women will tell themselves: "wow he has hair and he's shaving it, he's so badass!"

For a bald guy you know what it would be: "oh my god, he's shaving it down because he thinks people will not notice he's bald. What a loser."

Women's logic, you can't do anything about it.

Theres a massive difference between being 'bald' and having to shave it off and having 'hair' and shaving it off
One is perceived as being a fcking freak, the other is an alpha male/gangster/tough guy look that ALOT of girls dig

I shaved with a zero guard and you could PLAINLY see my awful receded hairline and where it met the baldness in my crown. 0 Guard hid nothing, in fact it thrust it right out in the open. Even Bic'ing you can still tell teh horse shoe. The only "bald" women like is a short clipped norwood 0 head of peach fuzz.
