T

This isn’t much for 3 days worth of combing. Hop on finasteride and or duta and give it 9 months or a year. If that doesn’t work or you get sides just stop.
Im shedding more atm. More than i ever did. At least 400 hair a day. Only terminal hair. There must be something wrong with my head. its not normal, not even with the most aggressive male pater baldness are you loosing between 400-500 hair a day. I could pull out every single hair on my head. 2 1/2 years ago, no signs of male pattern baldness and now bald spots everywhere on my head. Father nw2, mom and brother no hairloss.
I have an appointment to see a dermatologist next week. After this i will decide if i hop on finasteride.

Yeah, something isn't right. It's not normal and nobody can convince you that it is.

Man it could be a reaction to an extreme stressor o an abrupt weight loss

I think im suffering from male pattern baldness as i can clearly see some miniaturization. My dad is a nw2 with thin hair. I guess that would have been my path too. I can't believe that the shedding is caused by male pattern baldness though. Its just to much. I could pull out every hair. doesnt matter if its the top of my head or the side. I don't want to sound delusional and deny my male pattern baldness, but there's now way that you loose all your hair within 2 years.
I will buzz my hair before i go the derm and wait what he says.

I don't know. I never counted them. i guess also hundreds of hair. I can count them the next couple of days. that are the hair i loose, when i gently touch my head for a minute or so. Not pulling, just touching my head. I should study atm, but how can you concentrate on something if every time you move, you see hair flying around.

I don't get why people complain about loosing 100 hair a day.

Shedding this amount for almost 2 1/2 years.

Balding is a long process ? If you're unlucky, you go from full hair to balding to bald in 3-4 years.

Yo Don! What did the derm tell you?
nothing really. He basically just said that i have hair loss. He did a hair analysis and said its most likely androgenetic alopecia. Nothing new for me and i paid 120 € for this sh*t.
The thing is, I know its male pattern baldness. I just want to know why its happening so fast and all over my head. I still think its a combination of male pattern baldness and chronic telogen Effluvium or something.

Definitely not bad enough to buzz yet, hop on the big 3 plus dermarolling and see where you are at in a years time. You could opt for dutasteride over finasteride though.

You need to get the blood work done, it could be a combination of male pattern baldness and some people hormonal imbalance speeding things up

3 weeks and ridiculous amount of shedding later (300-400 hair a day) this is what my hair looks. its just crazy.
Why is it that 90% of the pics posted on this forum demonstrate hair loss in non traditional male pattern baldness zones? Or diffuse thinning that is so heavily focused on shedding, which is rarely even very noticeable in true male pattern baldness.

This forum should be renamed the Chronic Telogen Effluvium forum.

Very few of you have classic male pattern baldness. What I am seeing is hypochondriacs who are jumping from AA meds to AA meds when that will only hasten the problem.

You are non responders because you don't have male pattern baldness, or at the very least it's only a small component of your problem.

Live right, use toppik, and forget about your problem and it will probably improve.

This looks like depression hair loss.

Your derm probably knows less about hair loss than you do.

What is it with your obsession for Telogen Effluvium. There is no traditional way of hairloss. There is a most common way. But a lot of people are diffusing without temple recession. You ever heard of DUPA. Hair loss is unpredictable. Its possible to become bald within a couple of years, it can take many years, it can start at the crown, the temples or all over the head.

Not everyone who is not losing hair in the norwood scheme is suffering from Telogen Effluvium and you shouldn't tell every second member that they suffering from Telogen Effluvium. It just creates falls hope.

i think you're right about that. Most derms have no idea about hairloss. At least i couldn't find any, who seem to know what they're talking about.

Shedding is getting out of control. The short hair are from the side of my head.
